Creed movie trailer looks pretty good

I bet every single person who has commented will at some stage watch this movie.... Your all admitting your big Rocky fans and won't be able to handle the "not knowing" - stop kidding yourselves 😊

When I say "not knowing" there's a lot of rumours that this movie will reveal what happened when Apollo and Rocky had their 3rd fight - happened behind closed doors, not sure if it'll be done using cgi or will just be spoke of, that's not been revealed yet?
I'd say Rocky edged it with closely fought late KO like the 2nd 😉

I'm sure in Rocky 2 you see Appollos kids running around the house when he's up on the top stairs reading through his hate mail aloud to his wife.

I went to an 'Audience With...' night with Stallone where he discussed this movie.

It is not a Rocky film or part of that franchise, it's taking the Creed story and going in a new direction. Rocky Balboa is just a character who features in that story. Who knows it might work.

Given Apollo died in 85 the character must be at least 30 - more plausible an age these days for heavyweights just starting a career than many years ago. Who can forget the "oh my god he's won the title back at 32" line when Ali beat Foreman.

Given that Apollo was supposed to be one of Rocky's best friends mind not sure how they going to explain how Rocky doesn't know him already ??

I was reading that Carl Weathers (Apollo Creed) stopped Sly Stallone from using footage of them fighting his Rocky Balboa film in 2006. He claimed copyright or something

Anyway according to Stallone, Carl Weathers wanted to be in the Rocky Balboa film and when Stallone said "Hey !! Drago buried you in Rocky 4"

Carl Weathers got pissed. He thought he could be brought back to life or something

Stallone stood his ground and said that would be crazy and make the Rocky brand look silly

So that's when Carl Weathers threatened to sue if they used footage of him and Rocky fighting and although I ain't seen this Creed film yet, it wouldn't suprise (Unless they have sorted out there differences) that there will no past footage of Apollo and Rocky fighting in this film.
