Default David Price... Should he retire?

I don't see how one builds a credible career after this? But Wlad did it. Got his ass knocked out by Sanders, Purity and Brewster.

I'd be happy to have him around at British level for the rest of his career

He's still worth watching, a fighter that offers a ko either way is

And there's a lot of weekends in a year to fill with interesting fights

And I hate to say it but price just isnt mobile enough to get out if the way of punches

And he isn't confident enough to make a mark

It's a shame because he did look quite promising for a while before the Thompson fights. Very difficult to see where he goes from here though.

If he does continue he needs to get himself a decent trainer who can teach him how to use his jab properly at the very least. He's a huge guy and he can punch, but he just paws with his jab when he could be using it effectively to keep people off him. There is no deterrent to stop a guy setting his feet and letting bombs go.

I think he's weak psychologically as well. For such a huge guy he's very tentative and fights like he's more worried about being hit than he is about doing his opponent any damage.

He's clearly never getting anywhere near a world title and, at best, Joshua's people might consider a fight with Price purely to clean up at British level, but that certainly wouldn't end well for him.

Well, with all due respect, his opponent appears to be no slouch. Unbeaten and has done away with mid-tier guys with good form. Not all blow outs, but he has racked up several wins- fast hands, a bit of a chin, very mobile and as we can tell by the results, good ko power.

I don't have a thing against Price except he can't take a punch, for a heavyweight that's a serious problem. Punching power and taking big shots are what the heavyweights are all about. Fighters can get by without punching power, but a heavyweight without a chin is screwed. I think Price should get out of the ring.
If he can't bring himself to get out of boxing there are other things he could do to stay in boxing.
