From a promotional point of view how come Lemieux has to fight Golovkin so soon? GBP could have easily got HBO to agree to a relative gimmee fight before they made the Golovkin fight. But instead they're throwing him in immediately with Golovkin.
How come? Every other word out of Beanflicker's mouth is Lemieux, it's obvious to me that it's an attempt shut him up! It may have backfired though, Beanflicker has gone into warp drive, he's probably busy right now Twattering (obsessive tweeting) with Lemieux. LOL Just messing with you and doing a little needling. I'm excited about the fight, too.

    Hagler-Hearns revisited/modified thusly:

    1st ROUND oddly quiet, measuring.
    2nd Round bombs a-fucking 'way.
Both fighters are rocked and buzzed.
    Crowd on its feet.
"Its the first time GGG has been hit!" Etc.

3rd Round ....... GGG is knocked down.

4th Round .... Lemieux is knocked down.

    5th Round. GGG is KTFO

    6TH ROUND. BBB BUYS CHAMPAGNE!!!

Age- 33 to 26 advantage David
    Height- 5'91/2" to 5'101/2"
Reach- 70 to 70 Even although David looks like T-rex and the Kaz at times close to a knuckle dragger.
    Boxing skills-Advantage the Kazak
Speed-David is faster then he is.
Power- 91% to 86%. Advantage the Kazak. Could call it even really with a ko ratio that close.
Chin-Advantage the Kazak but I still say he has not been hit clean by another bone crusher
One intangible. David is a fast starter an Gennady a slow or calculated starter.

I see this fight as a mismatch. I don't see any way Lemieux can win.

This is gonna be pure violence with some huge punches thrown from the off and Golovkin is gonna have to start fast and 100% get his chin seriously tested - can't wait for this one.
I'd pick Golovkin 7th round TKO as I think there's a harder side to him than anyone's seen yet.
Those that know Golovkins background will understand 😉

It's a fan's fight. They're monster punchers. The bigger puncher in these kind of fights is who can take the other puncher's punch better. Because we've seen Lemiuex knocked out against Rubio, and GGG has taken big punches before from Stevens, it appears that GGG is the favorite to win. The best fight at 160.

To me Lemieux throws too many haymakers. He's going to need shorter punches to get to Golovkin. GGGs defense isn't that bad.

I'll take GGG to stop him

Lemieux hits like a train. However, he has the same problem as Pascal; his punches are too larges. Against a technical and compact fighter like the human wrecking ball, he'll just get demolished. HOWEVER, we have to give him kuddos for fighting GGG where most people are shitting their pants just at the idea to see the colors of his trunks in the opposite corner. That deserves respect.

Golden Boy cashing out Lemieux already. Credit to all involved for getting the fight done. Golovkin by knockout but Lemieux makes it fun while he's still standing.

    Great quote from Lemieux recentley

“It’s going to be a war. I know he’s going to come to fight. He might break my nose, but I’m going break his too,” David Lemieux told ESPN.

Sanchez says Stevens bigger puncher than Lemieux and does not think he will be big enough to deal with GGG. He thinks the fight is "Good for boxing"

Why is GGG taking this fight now?

He is the A side fighter and should wait 5 years so that is will be bigger and better?

How dare they make a great fight when both fighters are at their best.

    It just is not right.

Lemieux is currently an 8/1 shot. Interested in seeing the KO markets

He's got a puncher's chance but you've got to favour Golovkin in this one. Golovkin took everything Stevens threw at him without showing any reaction to it, probably the same thing happens with Lemieux.

I still might pick Lemieux though just to be contrarian. We're due a big upset anyway.
