Literally had the same thoughts Ross. If the last guy I fought who I thought I beat outboxed him until the KO there's no reason why I don't have a chance in this fight. I can't wait and I will be in the shape of my life, I already am. This is the lightest I've ever been and I've still got so much preparation time left. I'll only get better and more motivated for this great opportunity.
You win this one and I will be very impressed.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Put it this way Master im not going to put all this time and effort to come down from 17 stone 5 pounds to 12 stone and travel to Malta to not put in 110% effort. Ill be going there every intention of winning that fight, not turning up. Ive seen his record is 11-2 but I don't know how up to date that is. Hes 3 days younger than me too haha. Ive got strength work starting this Thursday which im looking forward to starting and ill be training 5-6 times per week. 5 times full on, and the 6th day a bit lighter. Ill be more than ready for this test.
Youll be turning pro soon! Make some cash out of it.
Im interested to know when you were over 17 stone, what weight did you think you should be, or could get down to?
ill get a picture for you off my facebook now and post it, im just on my works system at the moment so I cant go on facebook. Ive always wanted to get to 12 stone and Im nearly there, aiming to be there by the end of this week. I don't see much more point going any lower than 12 now though. I went to the doctors last week and she said I was very healthy and I had good blood pressure with a very healthy BMI for my height and weight so I was happy with that.
That was me 3 years ago and that's who I'm fighting.
There's a photo of me fighting at 13 stone in my last fight I was 12.3 on Friday. I've not trained at all this weekend so will be more, just mainly be water weight though I've been dieting.
