People pay subscriptions so why do they have to pay extra for these matches?

These are becoming so common that people think they are the norm and accept them.

You can not get lower than ppv Cleverly v Bellew 2. If that can be ppv then anything can be.

Now we have you tube ppv, when will it end?
The subscription thing or "standard" of fight is no longer an excuse (although a perfectly valid one), you're not willing to buy ITV or Youtube PPV either. In fact you're not even willing to subscribe to a dedicated boxing channel, there's no particular fight that would make you depart with a pound note.

Lets be honest, you'd never pay for anything boxing related, you just don't like it enough.
I despise the PPV model and the grinning promoters and tv executives trying to sell it as if it is the norm.

I have bought it in the past when I wanted to record it.
You've bought it in the past?

    Mug.

You're the problem then you hypocrite.
Way in the distant past when it was worth it and justified.

The commercial gimmick circus fights (Haye v Bellew 1, Floyd v conor) I don't have a problem with, they are not aimed at boxing fans, they are for the casual who enjoys the spectacle rather than the fights.

The quality fights (if Canelo v GGG was £20 on sky for example) I don't have a problem with, cracking fights worthy of the additional subscription fee.

I'm happy to get crolla v burns, rigo v loma as part of my subscription.

Fury v Parker, Groves v Cox, Jr v Abraham, those are the fights that I can't get on board with, they may be decent fights but they are not PPV worthy

Mug this, mug that, idiot this, idiot that. Why are you people so obsessed about the way other people spend their money? Very puzzling to me.

The descriptions "he's making his pro debut, he was in prison a month ago"

"He flew in from ..... today, arrived an hour ago"

"He found out he would be included an hour ago"

Boxing makes planning appear so hard haha

Which, this seems the perfect place to say......I think it's time to revamp the boxing press conferences. They are awful, boring, and nothing should stay the same 100 years. It looks so low class with folding tables. I don't know how they should change it, but they should change it. I hate to say it but I rather enjoy the UFC model
Yeh they were pulling guys from the audience. I think Willie Jackson was the mma-pka guy who slipped and tried a spinning back fist on Tubbs. Is that where they sit them all coliseum style in rows? They definitely upped ufc style promo with Mayweathers heist but frankly boxing fans we're not exactly the target audience. Seems we've lost the usefulness of potential matches running on same cards ala the super fly trio we just had. Another thing lost with current ppvs that King did well.

or more safetyglass partitions Vargas v Mayorga style
Yeah, they have all the fighters up there. And no speeches, especially no speeches from old men nobody knows. Who cares about Bill Tackard from Hard Rock Casino anyway?(fake name). The press asks questions of whoever, everyone has microphones. People talk when they want to talk, are quiet if they want to be quiet. Far less formality that is so dreadfully boring.

It feels authentic, boxing it just seems sleazy. Like cheap people are trying to sell us something we should know better than buying.
