Plenty of English Billionaires. There is one from down the road that always stops and speaks to the Mrs when we are out, but he is not a football fan. It's not the point. You seem to think everything should be able to be bought, much like your President. It's all very predictable but most people are not quite so shallow.
It's not that everything should be able to be bought everything is able to be bought. There's always someone offering the right price and the sale will definitely go forward
You wanna be careful Beano, you don't want this flash bastard to turn your birds head with his expensive cars and what not, I'd be having words with him, tell him to keep his mucky thoughts well away from Mrs Beanz.
All arguments aside, if we did sell the stadium to this dude what would it mean for the future of it, what are his plans for it?
The old Wembley was great, yeah it was a shit hole inside and needed some serious work doing to it but I much preferred it to the new one.
Don't get me wrong Wembley II is a fantastic stadium but it doesn't have the character of the old one.
Plus the atmosphere has been ruined completely, when I went to see the Villa play Arsenal in the FA cup final both sets of fans were given 25,000 tickets or something like that meaning that the other 40,000 went to sponsors and shit like that, fucking crazy that is.
arsenal-and-chelsea-fans-allocated-28000-tickets-each-for-fa-cup-final-6597945/
the final the allocation for each club is just 28,000, it was announced yesterday.
It means 34,000 of the 90,000 seats at Wembley will be reserved for corporate allocations, neutral fans and other non-club related football fans.
She has known him since she was young and he is the opposite of Mr Flash really, a real life Del Boy always stops to speak to customers and people he knew growing up which is a lot more than a lot of twats who think they are much wealthier than they really are. You are right about the atmosphere went last year for the play- offs and it is truly crap. He is going to put a fucking American Football team in it. We might as well bend over and let America stick their finger up our collective arses if that happens. The corporate influence has murdered the game. So you have people like Master who should be going to watch Wolves, loads of taffies who would cheer on anyone playing England but see no irony in supporting an English team and fricking virtue signalling fat American hipsters talking about Liverpool as though it were their local down the road, whist scousers born and living in Liverpool can't afford to go because of clowns like that ' supporting '( big inverted commas) Liverpool.
So now Koppites the real Liverpool fans, priced out of going to the games support A.F.C Liverpool.
They say the money will go to grassroots football and England will be able to catch up with the Germans etc, but the reality is most of the local pitches around the country have been sold off or tarmacked over.

#buddybeanz I think u are mad at the wrong people. The dude offered 500million, probably pounds right, and your guys are making it happen. The guy was from Pakistan, made billions here in the US as long as he followed the law. The FA could have said no or decide to only sell it to the English but throb looked at his offer. He is only throwing money at them, it is your side that will allow the deal to o through, sorry I can't see this as an indictment on America, more like an indictment on England. Shit we had the Japanese buying everything in the US a while back, I was mad at our people Japan was just making offers
Asked when he thought the sale could be completed, Khan said: “Early fall, like August, maybe two to three months from now, is what we’re targeting for a full close.”
The stunning proposal, which would also see Khan allow the FA to keep lucrative debenture and hospitality revenue worth around £300 million, was put before the full board of the domestic game’s governing body on Thursday.

With all due respect I don't think you have a clue. Corporate mentality has already ruined English Football with the Premier League. It is not the F.A's stadium to sell. America has always been about big business and corporate thinking but it never used to be like that here. It's not progress at all. The influence of America here has been quite a corrosive one in many, many ways. It's happened internationally and the fact that so many American posters here are so outraged that England is not just like America demonstrates that. The idea that everything is for sale is a bullshit mentality that supposes the buyer dictates to everyone else, and that on top of that arrogant assumption others should be grateful for such low level barbarity is beyond insulting.
What it basically boils down to is " How dare you be passionate about anything that does not have at it's heart the worship of money and the elevation of an American defined definition of extreme capitalism and commercial vanity over culture. And you will damn well be grateful for it too"
It's not a poor boy makes good tale at all, it's a tale of arrogance and greed in which a national stadium, bought by and for the fans, is being stolen for them and sold to a foreign businessman so that an individual can make himself richer.
In international team sports America has failed dismally to understand even the simplest notion of what really matters in it's mindless pursuit of nothing but the bottom dollar.
Dude all I said was the Brits have just a big of hand in this as us Yankees. When did I say how dare you be passionate about it. If that's what u read into you really put in words in my mouth. I'm passionate about Fenway park in Boston if England bought it for any reason I'd be pissed at Fenway for selling it to them. Did you really think I might how dare you be passionate and the worship money thing, that was the furthest thing from my mind, strange hopefully I am reading it wrong @Beanz
It's not addressed to you or even American's in general it's the agenda that mega-rich individuals and corporations force onto the rest of the world ,and at it's heart is an American idealism ,but all that was good about that has been stripped away and replaced with money and power for it's own sake. Passion for anything at all on the forum gets routinely converted into anger as a convenient way to silence any views which are not incredibly over simplistic or dispassionate. It is an international move motivated by fear of being exposed as shallow and self serving when the whole point of football (what your country alone but 90% of the rest of the world would call football) is that it should represent and reflect the community it comes from.
There is never any mention in the immigration threads of foreign football players and how their presence makes it virtually impossible for many English players to ever get a chance to play the game professionally at the highest level. The game may be international but the English are expected to accept a disproportionate amount of foreign talent in order to satisfy the greedy directors, shareholders and corporate bosses at the top of the game in TV and the boardroom.
I am assuming you must see this in America too. Local small businesses being put out of business after generations of serving a community, by huge corporations they can't compete with. It's the same principle. Local customers lose out and that is not what most people, even those who are ardent conservatives or capitalists want to see.
Social Darwinism? Yes, we notice Social Darwinism.
Think Walmart started out a megarich crusher of small business? No, it grew from small business and ended up taking over Amazon.com is the same thing and before Walmart Sears was like that.
But yeah it's America's fault, how very Beanz of you to say.
The influence of America, the influence of America blah blah blah fucking blah blah blah get a grip mate. There aint no seller without a buyer, and it looks like you blokes have BOUGHT THE FUCKING FARM. Nobody twisted your ' collective arses ' {inverted poppy seeds}, Nimrod.
Just pray they'd still call it Fenway. It could always end up like this.....

Why would you want to be the Emirates stadium? And what's with all the Chinese advertising at the side of pitches these days? It really is all about money these days and personally I think these top players could use a paycut. And yes, I would limit it to one foreigner per team. So what if it means less Euro glory. We never win the world cup anyway either, but it would allow more local players to come through and maybe increase the chances of doing so. I keep saying it but it shouldn't all be about money. Elite football has lost touch with its origins.
