Roy didn't fight just no hopers, and the guys he beat were better IMO than the guys the Leonard beat except Duran. I don't think Hearns would have had a chance against Hopkins or Toney because they are too fundementally sound, and could take his shots. Hagler couldn't beat Toney IMO. As for Leonard he lost against Hagler and he lost against Hearns the second fight not to mention he was losing their first fight before Hearns' weak jaw showed up. McCallum said that Jones was twice as good as any of these guys. He's faster than any of them, and not just p4p, but he was actually faster at SMW than Leonard was at Welterweight. He hit way harder than Hagler or Hearns. In his prime he had a much better chin than Hearns, and Jones would beat Leonard to the punch p4p everytime, and he would be so much faster that Leonard wouldn't be able to compete.

Do you know Boxing at all....Jones has fought better comp than Leonard......Hit harder than a prime Tommy Hearns....Duran Leonards only good comp...This is crazy talk....

Jones two best wins were over Toney and Hopkins and they were not impressive wins either....

Leonard comfortable, I do not see constant, Hagler, Hearns, Duran and Benitez quality on Jones Jr's record. And I only see one glimpse of redemption. No come from behind wins, and many blown potential superfights.

Is this the same Leonard who struggled with Hearns' speed and jab and had to lead with his right hand to get a shot in.

So you basically see Leonard having a rouch time with Jones and Jones' awkward style.

Reminding you that Jones would be even faster at Welterweight, and at Middleweight I think he'd be too strong for Leonard.

And that proves how great Roy is. Any tough opponent that should have been competitive against him, Roy made them look like nothing and beat them easily. And never had trouble till he was 36.

And Roy pretty much handled adversity and came back and won in the first Tarver fight.

And I think we're going by resume, and not style when we are picking the winner.

Jones fought plenty of opponents and showed he could figure out everything his opponent did in one round 95% of his career. Also in his first fight with Tarver.. losing 25-30 pounds of muscle in 4 months and still pulling through seems alot like diversity to me.

I was a bit unfair on Jones.

I was thinking of Ray's fights with the likes of Tommy Hearns & Roberto Duran; 2 magnificent hall-of-famers & thinking that Roy did not face that calibre of opponent.
