Who was the biggest and best guy Ali ever faced?Forman? He was at the time 6'3 and 220lbs.You could say Cooney but he really didn't beat any well known fighters at all.The truth is Ali never faced a guy that was as big as Vitali or Wladimir that had the skills they do to go along with the size and power. He fought Mathis who was 256 and when Mathis had stepped up he always came up short.Joe Bugner was the next biggest guy Ali faced at 230lbs.He was a fighter who if you looked at his wins and loses would think he was really something until you look at who he was fighting.3/4 of the guys Ali faced were under 215lbs and a lot of those guys were less than 200lbs.I just don't see how people are so sure Ali beats the Klitschko's so easily I am really waiting to hear a legitimate reason.

Its ridiculous to compare prime Ali to prime Klitschkos...either one take your pic.

    Wlad just beat Chris Byrd.
And it is a proven undeniable fact (because I said it's so) that Chris Byrd would beat Ali.

    THEREFORE: Klitschko beats Ali.

Now.....Layla Ali.....? I wouldn't mind goin' a few sweaty rounds with her! Heh heh..

Here's the link to the full sized pic! It must have been cold in the studio that day!! http://www.clivearrowsmith.co.uk/gal...zLayla-Ali.jpg

Boxing is too small for ali as george forman said, this guy is the greatest and most famous person to live, ali retired from boxing at 38 and wladimir is just 30 yet so it too early to compare, anyway i was watching calvin vs wladimir few month back and in round 7 all the usa crowd was shouting usa, but wladimir caught with a left and right, suddenly all the american mouth went shut, wladimir went a bit wild for the next minute or so and finally ko brock, I swear I though brock was dead for quite somtime the way he landed and stayed flat on his face, but thank god he sitll alive

    2. Tyson
    and
    3. De la hoya (let me explain this last choice. During my time in prob stat class i did some math and found out that upwards of 16% of the worlds population will have a barely-functional or lower iq level. These are probably the three most publicized boxers of all time. I'm sure if you asked some of the "intellectually challenged" people in america or anywhere else de la hoya would show up quite readily as an answer to this question.)
And if you ask someone to name a make of a car they would probably say Ford or Chevrolet but it doesn't mean they make the best cars!Ali gets shoved down everyones throats every day!ESPN classics should be renamed the Ali network!Ali was the self proclaimed greatest and everyone has bought into this even if they haven't seen one of his fights!Marketing is an amazing thing.I won't even get into comparing Wladimir with Ali because they are very different all around and there is absolutely no way to make a legitimate comparison having fought in different eras.
    i agree

The thing is this.....Wlad is not even the best of his era so how can he be compared to a legend? End of story.
