Number 1... how the hell is Peter supposed to avoid hitting Toney in the back of the head when Toney repeatedly was doing his "bows"? (As you so well put it).
Also, Peter WAS actually pulling back quite a bit to avoid getting penalized for that. Otherwise, he would've taken Toney out a long time ago.

yeah u know what i was dissappointed with jeams and very impressed with peter i had toney kicking his ass going inot the fight but sam cam out sharp and in shape and improved and toney came out the same which is sad and disapointing mayb next time he will work harder

His stock rose immensely here...but Toney was a sore loser after getting his beatdown.

Im devastated by that result. Toney has been one of my favourite fighters for many a year now. It was frustrating for me to watch that. Toney couldnt move Peter with his best shots and was continuously outworked. He had no reason to be 234lbs, but no excuses from me. There is little more Toney can do in this division now. It probably is time to retire.

I agree, I mean I'm not saying this in a bad way or aimed to degrade Toney. I'm just saying I'm a boxing fan 1st and foremost and to see him get beat like that. It was just obvious.

1. He can't hurt ANY Heavy. regardless of how hard he throws.
2. He can't fight full rds. I mean IMO even the most limited Heavy. would beat him.
3. His weight IS the biggest issue he just can't get it down. Reminds me of Bowe.....

And what was this bullshit about conditioning? His output was probably lower than the last fight. Here was a valid opportunity to turn up 10 pounds lighter and be more elusive and use decent handspeed to good effect.

He blew it big time!! Im a little disturbed by this fight. And as for thinking he won the fight Utter bullshit! He's been feeding us bullshit for a while now, and even this hardened fan is turning somewhat bitter!!

The only thing that bothers me is this...I kinda get the feeling that everyone is going to not give Sam Peter his credit & he is due for beating "argueably" the most skilled heavyweight out there.

He beat him AGAIN...fair & square & he outboxed an "in shape" better conditioned fighter this go around...so not gotdam excuses.

Peter is here. Respect him...beause I think that he did well & I am proud of the most unrefined heavyweight in the game...be that as it may...he boxed beautifully.

Alright wacko i'm gonna do something really dangerous and try to understand your logic.

You have an intense dislike for toney at heavyweight when he is obviously the most skilled fighter in the division yet you rally behind the missing link because you think cavemen should have equal rights in boxing as well.


As for trying to understand wacko's logic, it cannot be done from a sober standpoint.

GUess what...my guy defied all logic tonight & proved that he had some skills...some unrefined ones...very raw ones...but they were enough to beat the great heroe in James Toney...so guess what...Wacko's Logic worked out...just this one time.
