Kovalev wants the rematch. Poor guy doesn't know that Ward fights every two years or so.

Can you fookin imagine not having the language but feeling that pissed off No wonder he used his fingers with Stevenson. Ward skated one there for early Christmas. Simply out fought and clearly hurt on three occasions.

I'll tell you that rounds 7,8,9, and 11 were all obvious ward rounds. I gave him rounds 5 and 12 also. Round 6 was really close and 10 was also pretty close.

My main problem really is that nobody on this message board scored the fight for ward, so even though I don't at all think it was a robbery, it is a bit fishy that they all scored it for ward.

There definitely needs to be a rematch.

At best? Ward clearly won 4 rounds so at worst, he loses 8-4

Lampley bravely putting the nationalistic spin out there (Americans vs Russians)..... pondering whether that had anything to do with the decision.

    Gee...... YA THINK?

They staged a robbery because it was the only way to squeeze 2 fights out (and ream the fans for double the money) and use the rematch clause. If kovalev gets declared the decisive winner.. then ward is automatically already past it and no one wants to the see the wrestling match again. So this way they get everyone who wants justice to come back... and have a handle on the all American success story... from newly revealed humble (caught between a crack head and an alchie) beginnings to gold medal to 5 year layoff... to come back robbery... WTFever....
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

All right, see you guys in another 6 months or so.

All credit to Ward for fighting his was back into the fight and for making it close, but I still don't see how he deserves the decision.

For everyone who leaves boxing for a while, you probably can't score fights anyways.

of the rounds i didnt score for ward I noted rounds 4 6 & 10 as possible ward rounds, I didnt give em for ward but i dont think it would be unreasonable for ward to get the nod in them, I had kovalev winning due to the knockdown but I dont see it as a terrible decision that ward wins, just a bit suspicious that all judges had it the same score in such a close fight. I really hope they do it again, that was a really interesting fight and I think the rematch would be even better
