The decision was correct, but the scores were completely out of line, just like Cotto - Clottey. PM deserves a rematch in a neutral location but there's no way he'll get it.

the 118 to 110 score is shitty. makes me think that some judges are actually paid to score it for a certain fighter.
Ishe looking a warrior compared....drama queen, weave sporting, tired floosie.Your not alone Paulie...butt dont let the door hit u on the azz

The simple fact is, even if Paulie won this by 3 or 4 rounds, he would have lost. Yes it was close and could have went either way. I and I'm sure others wouldn't argue a close decision Diaz. But Paulie was beat before he stepped in he ring. Yet another example of the shit corruption that is boxing.
I can't disagree with that. In order to get the decision, PM would have had to win the fight in a manner in which he is wholly incapable of doing. However, from all his talk it seemed like he knew this coming in. If nothing else, this fight (regardless of the outcome) showed that he is still a viable fighter and I would be surprised if this did not lead to another big fight for him.
I'd like to point out the greatness of me and Killer's scoring tonight, couldn't have been any different if we tried, LOL as I had Malignaggi coming back and making the fight closer Killer had Diaz doing the exact opposite.
The interview by Paulie was even more entertaining than the fight.![]()
Malignaggi throwing over 900 punches outthrowing Diaz.
I wouldn't hesitate to say that version of Malignaggi could have beaten Hatton or at least made it a lot closer. Looks like blaming McGirt was the right thing to do lol
I have Diaz winning, coz I count Power punches like double points. I don't really count non-hurting punches when I score fights. I have no Problem with A draw. BUT Pauli knows he's in Diaz Country. He has to blow away Diaz to win a fight there. Out Jabbing will not work at all. He has to do like what Pac did to MAB in San Antonio.
Fightnews has a poll on who won the fight.
Malignaggi is winning a landslide 63 percent
Diaz winning is 19 percent
Could go either way is 18 percent
How did Max figure out how to vote multiple times?
Seriously that's probably more one sided than a Cotto-Clottey poll would have been which is kind of crazy to me.
I've never really liked Malinaggi, but I actually respect him a bit more now. First, he fought a great fight and deserved the win. Second, I actually thought he was speaking the truth in his post-fight interview. We all know how crooked boxing can be sometimes and he was just telling it like it is. Plus that was just pretty entertaining seeing him go off like that. As for Diaz, he's a likeable kid but I thought he clearly lost the fight. he was nowhere near as aggressive as he should have been. maybe he knew he didn't need to be with all the hometown cooking.....
