Experience goes a long long way.

I know that you love North Carolina...I know that you like beer & probably banking...but Brock's tap dancing doesn't carry over into his boxing & he's weak on his feet in the ring...he always has been.

Who said anything about Peter? Where's your mind at Lyle?

I actually think that'd be an interesting fight...but with an outcome that would not favor Brock. If Sam could drop Wlad...& he did...he could drop Brock...& don't throw up that behind the head shit Lyle...some of those shots were legit...well...maybe two of them.

Brock's just to weak on everything...he needs a strong point.

Maybe it's just something that can't be taught through video tapes. Maybe he's just a natural tapper.
I don't get why if Sam Peter dropped Wlad that he could drop Brock

Let me put it this way...when I was ringside for Brock Bostice...he took some heavy shots that moved him from Bostice...& Bostice aint that heavy handed.

Brock took the punches well...but they still moved him. I truly believe that if Brock could get set on his feet better...he'd get more leverage on his shots.

Take for instance the fight with Lawrence...Brock was having issues until the 5th & he finally got settled in. He connected on steady ground & out went the lights...there again...Lawrence is 2nd or 3rd level opposition...but it was a devastating knockout.

Poor balance, he's been dropped by power before, & also...he just got his ass handed to him...that can have a mental affect on a fighter.

Peter, while a bit wild, does hit hard as hell.

that’s a very good point Wacko ... the Midas touch I call it . Peter can be off balance connect and still have devastating results.

You know...I like Peter ( ) but in the end...he's still as unproven as Brock is.

He's had a lot of knockouts...but against lesser men. I am still surprised that Wlad made it out with his head still attatched...but even more so that Peter could take Wlad's shots.

That last hook he took in the 12th knocked him senseless & he still pulled through.

While Peter is raw ( ) he's still good at what he does...knocking mo-foes out...I honestly think that he'll clean James "Fat Ass" Toney's clock the next go around. After that...I aint to sure what direction the Nigerian Nightmare should travel.

A fight with Brock would be stupid & a step backwards.

In all honesty...I'd love to see Peter vs Ruiz, Brewster, or Maskaev. Ruiz would be a step back...but gotdam...it'd be nice to see Peter bulldoze his ass.

I really REALLY think that 200+ lbs just got a lot more interesting after tonight.

In the end...I think that Brock drops by the wayside though.

I like that summery . . I think Peter won the last fight with Toney.. and its really unfair that he has to fight James again . He should be fighting Oleg in March .. I thought Sam beat Toney from pillar to post. and had him hurt on several occasions... it was a very good watch from a fight fan standpoint , so I am not totally disappointed in the rematch.

In the end...I thought that Peter did enough to win the fight & Toney did too little to take it home.

I too believe that Peter Maskaev is the fight for the fans.

I think Toney will come into this one in shape...for once. I actually believe that he's starting to realise that being JFAT (instead of James Toney) hurts him.

I'll say Toney wins the next one...if not legitly...then to set up a trilogy.

    Hey...stranger things.

Really good performance for Wladdy tonight, though Lewis & Lampley mentioned that it was a slow start I think it was more of a strategic start he was marking his pace and was trying to get the jab started.... The fact that for a rd. or two Brock was able to minimize the damage didn't mean Wlad was starting off slow.... IMO

Brock vs. The winner of Toney-Peter....

Agreed. Feeling out process was what it was all about, IWO.

A matter that I wa sdiscussing wth the wife was this: Fwock Merchant. I used to really like hikm...but gotdam...he grates on me nerves of late.

Why do these fwocks not call it like they see it? That's what they are paid to do...right?

His bullshit ripping of Mayweather...his horse shit latent homo comments about Wlad...& then Lewis's critique of Wlad? Come the fwock on.

These guys need to call it straight up instead of trying to dramatize it & draw attention to themselves.

irritating...either that...ir I was just really really wasted.

I don't like it either when Lampley or Merchant bringing up the guest commentators ventures , unless its in the positive.. otherwise It just makes for an uncomfortable watch for the viewer I think.
