    wait a minute...

boxrec doesnt have names up yet but it says 115-112 | 115-112 | 114-113

i thought that means that either they got it wrong or one judge did a good job and 2 were questionable...

i see no need for anyone to be blacklisted tonight tho

well, in summary a lot of questions raised by that performance....lets be fair to ricky though, it was after all just one fight. if he can go away and come back improved then thats all i can ask...

hatton is still for real and he can accomplish great things, lets not be too quick to condemn him on this...

collazo was an unknown quantity and now we know his worth...

Although Hatton has been very clear on not wasting time, since he doesn't intend to stick around for much longer than 3 years at the most, I think he should look for an immediate rematch and lay any doubt to rest. Two reasons: people will never allow him to forget that fight and Collazo is no longer an unknown quantity. Hatton knows exactly what he's dealing with now and I'd fancy him to end any debate in a rematch.

agreed. i wouldnt mind seeing a rematch...it would clear up all uncertainty...

if hatton doesnt want to waste time, then he shouldnt give performances that leave results that are too close to call!

One thing being overlooked is how good Collazo is. He is a classy, accurate, awkward southpaw. That combined with Hatton's quite blatant stamina problem from the move up was a major headache for him.

Hatton couldn't get the body punches going either, which had a lot to do with the style. As far as Hatton's flaws, he is a better boxer than people realise. The Tszyu fight supports that. Perhaps not in a conventional sense, but he has a good boxing brain. Tonight's fight just didn't advertise it all that well.
Mate are you kiddin me! He never boxed tszyu...he mauled him by holding and fouling...and the fact he struggled against collazo OUT of manchester and WITHOUT and english ref and left him stuck with a US ref who DIDNT allow those tactics.

Alot of questions asked last night, but people, don't get over excited. Hatton is still Hatton and just as it can be argued that Tszyu had an off night against Ricky, the same principle can apply here. I was totally wrong about Collazo,he sounds slick, stylish. I think Ricky should give him a rematch but kudos to Ricky for moving and fighting a world champ straight away, the only thing that worries me is that Collazo's power seems to have bothered Ricky but the guy only has 12 kos or something right If they have a rematch, and Hatton fares like he did last night,I think he needs to stay at 140 and maybe it will be the end of the PBF Hatton fight? We have to wait and see.....

Starr,Ricky was not exposed......Collazo won but it was no landslide or anything, that is exposure. He was not koed and made to look like a fool was he? That is exposure of the highest order. I would like to see Margarito fight Collazo just to see how he would fare, but hey,if Collazo can't take the power of Hatton,a guy who just moved up and needs time to grow into the division,I doubt he could take Margarito's and I'm pretty certain Margarito could take his.

In concluding,I'd have to say I want the Hitman to give him a rematch and win more convincingly. As for Collazo, sounds impressive, will comment more when I see the fight properly.

Man, looking back over the ridiculously long day that yesterday was....i was awake for around 20 hours, it was just a bloody nail biter all the way through.

The two soccer cup-final's go to penalties, and an amazingly tight fight between Collazo and Hatton. Eventually the favourites all won, but the most nail biting was realising i'd put my Wales t-shirt in with my grey trackies...sitting in the laundrette waiting to see if i'd have pink trackies was the greatest nail biter...and yes, I will now be hitting the gym with pink trackies
