I never really bought into the Verdejo hype. He just never seemed that impressive to me.

Titofan suicide watch 🤕
I don’t know how to tag posters
Sure as hell ain't surprised. You could see this crash and burn coming a mile away. And apparently his handlers could too. It's pretty obvious why they never stepped him up. He's really just mediocre.
It's ok. All sharp objects have been removed from my vicinity.
I actually missed almost the whole card due to unexpected circumstances. Just managed to catch the Conlan fight.
My brother-in-law spilled the beans on Whatsapp with the following message...... "Down goes Verdejo!"
Damn.
Whatever. Let's see if and how he rebounds from this first loss. Sometimes that first loss is refreshing to a boxer's career. I still think he's got talent.
"Pitufo" Diaz and "Sniper" Pedraza both won. I'm rather happy about that.
Well.... 130 together with 135 are arguably the toughest adjacent divisions right now, with the likes of Mikey Garcia, Lomachenko, Linares, and Gervonta Davis patrolling those ranks. Pedraza is solid, but was already beaten by Davis, and likely could come up short against Garcia and Loma. Then again, surprises do happen. Few people gave McWilliams Arroyo a chance to upset Carlos Cuadras recently and that's exactly what he did. Sometimes though, it's a matter of timing, as you can be good enough to win a championship either a few years before or after, but the particular time window you're in happens to be crowded with incredible talent.
