There's no time to wait for that. Froch is already quite old. As a fan you need to pretend he's achieved something already or the whole thing is just too damn depressingOriginally Posted by eagle

I just dont see how a guy can be rated top 5 by so many ppl without beating a top 20 guy.Originally Posted by dumdane
Froch hasn't beaten a top ranked contender yet, but by looking at his fights he may be capable of world champion status, by keeping us waiting like this only builds the hype, his promoter is playing a risky game, but it might pay off when the world title fight comes. Froch is one of the best ticket sellers in the UK at the minute, he has the pulling power of David Haye in his hometown.
Remember the good old days, we miss you Marco!
Thats all well and good, but he is 29, say it taakes him another 2 years to get a shot. He is no spring chicken. He needs to fight a top guy soon, or atleast test himself. Thats the trouble with british boxers they can make loads of cash without testing themselves.Originally Posted by 'Big' Dan McCarthy
Saying that, once you get past middleweight, these days guys can last until they're 34-35 no problem, Froch hasn't been beaten up much and his style isn't too much about speed so I think the age isn't too much of an issue.Originally Posted by eagle
