But I can't help feeling a little like Mike Tyson's diehard fans have felt in recent years, hurt, betrayed, letdown. Maybe Mayorga did his best, maybe it just wasn't enuff, or maybe he conned me and everyone who bought the fight one last time. Sayin wild things, actin like he truly wanted to win, then comin in takin a beating, and leaving without givin so much as an interview. He abandoned the jab he had developed last fight, didn't keep his freakin right hand up. His chin looked worse than ever and he only threw two punch combos, three at best, not the 4 and 5 punch combos he used to. This is a very disheartening loss, and it is hard for me to look forward to other fights. This was THE FIGHT for me this year. Mayorga had one last chance at being more than a "flash in the pan", more than a one hit wonder, he had a chance at a legacy and he blew it. Instead, the phony, fake, manipulating, punk, Oscar won. I hold no real hate for Oscar, and I would not get much satisfaction out of Mayweather defeating him, though I imagine he would. My favorite fighter lost, and this time with no redeeming actions, no knockdown, no last stand, just blasted out in 6 rounds on the ropes like a chump, like Gatti, like Yory Boy. Don't think you'll be seein me as much on here, hard to get excited bout anything else, after this. HUGE LETDOWN.

We were just pokin fun but your right, when your favorite fighter get's beat like that after you looked forward to it that much it is just brutal. It's one of the worst feelings in all of sports really because you have months, sometimes years to look forward to a fight and BAM, it's shot down in one night. It's the sickest feeling you'll ever get. Terrible. You'll get over it though, boxing fans always do. I felt the exact same way after Lacy - Calzaghe and am still kind of feeling it because I had little doubt in my mind that Joe was going to trade with him and Lacy was going to knock him out. Much like Oscar, Calzaghe fought Lacy's fight and pummeled him. Terrible feeling indeed. And now you're having to give Oscar his due after a WIN, like I had to do Calzaghe. I would have been more then happy to call Calzaghe a great fighter after he got KO'd by Lacy...but I had to give him his due after a win I hate Calzaghe haha

Yeah it sucks. Mayorga was beaten in the same manner as Yory Boy and Gatti, and that is just disgraceful. I don't know why Mayorga abandoned his jab, or refused to keep his hands up at all, he did have good head movement but that was not enough. Thanks for supportin me, that was a terrible loss for Mayorga and all his fans.

I would get yall to stop but I guess now he sort of feels what it was like for me when Wlad lost, which makes me feel better. It really does suck, but things can turn around I mean Wlad is once again a champion...maybe Mayorga can do it too

Wlad does suck balls guys. Unfortunately I was not on here right after Brewster beat Wlad, only after Wlad beat Peter, and that sucked. There is certainly hope for Mayorga to win another world title, but it is sad that he will never be on the very elite level I thought he could be by beating the Golden Boy.

If there's such thing as a world title for Nicaraguan miniature golf, then I agree, Mayorga may win another world title. Unfortunately, there's no hope in hell this guy will ever see another belt in boxing though.

If Ouma, Forrest, or Quartey grab a belt, you can bet your ass Mayorga will be lining up to take it from them. Guys like Castillejo, and "terra" Garcia have held belts recently. Mayorga can definately get a belt buddy. Who knows if he'll ever fight again though? Hopefully he will after he takes a break and goes back to learning some fundamentals like he was showin when he won the WBC crown against Picarillo.

Not really, but it was a more valiant effort than that against Oscar. Regardless, if the man does comeback, which I kinda hope he does, he will win another world title at 154.

Well Yoel couldn't train him for the DLH fight because he was awaiting his sentence. So maybe in a year

IF Mayorga decides to continue to fight,he certainly has a future, his antics will always entertain and he can still beat most at 154,simply because there is no-one else as good as Oscar soooo Mayorga will have a chance! Who would you guys like to see him fight and you think he has a chance against any of the elite at 154?
