With a punch? I'm not saying you're wrong, but it's surprising--I mean, why doesn't he ever put anyone on the canvas then? By choice?

You know what I mean--he hasn't knocked too many of his opponents down, let alone out. Soliman was about ready to fall on his own by the end of that fight too with all the swinging at air he'd been wearing himself out with.

Soliman threw more punches in 100 degree whether in Las Vegas Nevada then he did inside that ring, Soliman rarely if ever gets tired. Winky just has accuracy and his accuracy and speed is his power because he can catch you the right way. And he wears people down with body shots and he put Robert Frazier down didn't he

Let me put it to you this way: are you picking Winky by KO/TKO over Taylor?

Winky's good but he won't beat Taylor. The well rounded fighters he's fought have been smaller than him, and the bigger fighters he's fought have been one dimensional. Taylor is bigger and well rounded, he'll force Winky to fight and get the better of him.

Nobody throws a harder jab p4p IMO... Winky throws all the punches that usually don't get knockouts short cross, jab, body right hooks, quick uppercuts. He doesn't ever get all his power behind his punches IMO because he's about controlling his opponent before anything else. He might have not put anyone on the canvas but he's hurt almost everyone I've seen him fight at some point or another.

Max Kellerman made a good point last night on the radio. He said Taylor's not gonna hit Winky nearly as much as Soliman did b/c he doesnt throw nearly that many punches. so if Winky beat him, getting hit that much, it stands to reason he should beat Taylor.

To compare the Taylor Fighting Hopkins, or WInky fighting Soliman to them fighting is stupid... thats not how fights work, and Taylor would definitely hit Winky IMO with harder shots than Soliman or Felix ever landed.

Taylor couldn't land effectively on Hopkins. His connect percentage was very low. Wright's defence is the equal of anybody. Taylor's only hope is to bull him and rough him up.

Such an interesting matchup that any one prediction could make you look stupid at the end of the night.

Taylor is young and raw so it stands to reason that a seasoned defensive genius southpaw such as Winky should put on a clinic, just like Calzaghe did to Lacy... but...

you can school all the bigger guys in the gym you like, fighting them is another ball game ask Toney.

there is a reason Hopkins didnt keep his belts, this kid has great reflexs. Could be an ass whoopin for Taylor but I guess we'll have to wait and see what their styles match up like and if JT's corner has prepared him correctly, one other thing is I also believe he has the right team for the job.

Yea yea we all heard the these same criticisms of Soliman by the HBO announcers who were totally ignorant about him until he started busting up Winky's face real good. Many of you must not of watched this fight or forgotten the close up of Winky's face after the fight. Winky was also sick and taking antibiotics before the Trinidad fight too. Must be all the pre fight stress.
