Lyle, we know you hate him and his "radical" muslim ways, but please, he was the farthest thing from boring (well maybe a little bit when he was fighting Holmes, Spinks and Berbick.
I don't hate him because he's a muslim...I don't like him a s a person but that has nothing to do with him as a boxer. I mean I don't like Sonny Liston as a person but he was a good boxer too.

I think I see a lot of James Toney in Ali. Laying back, playing possum, showboating then throwing punches that don't do anything. Chris Byrd did a lot of that stuff too except not as much showboating.

Ali is just one of many fighters I find boring. And just because I find them boring it doesn't mean I think they don't have skill I just don't like their style.

WINKY WRIGHT - it's horrible watching his style but it's damn effective

Jack Johnson - partially because some of his fights lasted 80 rounds

Any David Tua fight that goes the distance (exception Ike Ibeabuchi fight)

Bernard Hopkins - FOULS, all the time rough housing, no action until the 8th round

Evander Holyfield - It may be because he gets compared to Tyson a bunch but his style while effective wasn't as fun to watch....(maybe punching power is the reason)

Sam Soliman - now he might be fun to watch but his style is just UGLY

Paulie Malinaggi - all around I hate this guy! Style, attitude, I just dislike him

Johnny Nelson hasn't had enough mentions. I fell asleep so deep during one of his fights that my girlfriend pannicked and thought I was in a coma.

He was still a boring champ, had no personality and Bruno, Briggs and Rahman weren't all that exiting.

yeah ok..i just disagree..a jabber..he had 1 of the biggest hardest right hands in the heavyweight history..he was always open to get caught which always made a good fight yes he did use his jab alot as he is 6.5 n the guys he fought were alot shorter..fightwise i dont class him as borin at alll

    Agreed 100%.

Ruiz even more so.......but I found Lewis to be boring and perhaps the most overrated heavy of all time.

We know you hate him, stick to watching the milky robot then.
    milky?
That was an awful fishy choice in adjectives wasn't it? Just sounds plum dirty didn't it.........like maybe there's some fantasy scenario going on there.
Thank god he didn't say "sweaty milky robot" that would have left absolutely no room for doubt!

I also think Lewis was over rated, thats not to say he wasn't a great boxer but not as good as some people say he is.

Good calls, Rosi was damn effective, but his style sucked, I reckon he must bored fighters into defeat.

Bash Ali was weird, he was a poor fighter, had 14 fights against decent opposition and lost 14 fights.

To think in 60 odd wins, his best were against Patrick Lumamba and 'Young' Joe Louis...

I just thought that he caught a couple of ex-champs on their way down the hill. Now some people are crazy enough to call him one of the best heavies of all times.
