And Williams's is? Like others been sayin, let him fight Kermit Cintron first. See if he can get through Cintron, then maybe try Margarito.Originally Posted by Violent Demise

What is Cintron the gate keeper, now or what? Fighting Cintron makes no sense. Cintron is not a contender. If Williams fights and beats him, everybody will say he only beat a bum. Which Cintron is. So what's the point in fighting him. Williams knows a fight with Margarito would make him some decent money and put him in position for an even bigger fight with Mayweather. So that's why he called out Margarito. It's the same formula Margarito has been using the last couple of years with Mayweather. So what's the problem? Only Margarito can do that or what?Originally Posted by Hulk

Cintron is a pretty good fighter with a big punch, not a bum. But hey if you want Williams to rush into Margarito and get crushed just like Hercules Kyvelos and Kermit Cintron did, then let him is what I say. But he has done nothing to earn a shot other than run his mouth.

Reminds me of Margarito in his quest for a Mayweather fight. Done nothing, but always running there mouth.Originally Posted by Hulk
He hasn't lost a fight at Welterweight since 1997 hes a 2 time WBO Champ he only lost the belt because he vacated it to move and fight @ 154 since the so called Welterweight King (Judah) ran from him and didn't want to fight him. He came back to 147 and won the belt back. Hes beaten Diaz, Lewis, Kyvelos, Lujuan, Cintron & Gomez not bad at all. The record of his last 9 opponents and since he won the WBO title are 237-25-5. In championship fights hes 8-1 with 1 NC.Originally Posted by Violent Demise
This was Mathysse 2nd fight outside of Argentina.......Come on people are we that desperate for fighters that with the slightest showing of boxing skills we think they can conquer a division thats so full of talent.....Just look at that other thread on how people are saying he could also beat PBF.....
I'd rather see Williams fight Cintron and then Margarito and if Margarito gets by Mitchell(which I can see happening, then these two will fight)
Let Williams fight the winner of Julio-Quintana. Good battle regardless of who wins.
Heres what I put in another thread
Oh!! god NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
A yougn kid makes a pretty solid performance (eventho he got caught a few times) and now all of a sudden hes the man at 147....I'll say it again he just fought top 20 opposition and had trouble with him. I got some good match ups for him to see what he got's....
these are top 8 thru 23 in my book
Kermit Cintron
Vivian Harris
Delvin Rodriguez
Eleazar Contreras
Oktay Urkal
and the winner of Julio vs Quintana.....
If he beats anyone of those guys then he can move on to the top 5.
Two time WBO champion, huh. Since when does the WBO mean anything. That belt is garbage. As for the fighters he fought. Diaz had already gotten his ass kicked by Mosley when they fought. Lewis was shot, Gomez had 10 losses, Cintron was severely overrated, Lujuan was mediocre at best and Kyvelos was just garbage. You said Margarito's last 9 opponents had a combined record of 237-25-5. Out of those 237 wins, how many were name fighters anywhere near there prime?Originally Posted by CutMeMicK

I can assure you they were more known and ranked higher then Williams entire career opponent's.
What about Williams-Collazo? Why not? Makes sense.
That's it. Collazo, Cintron, or the winner of Julio-Quintana.
He could go to Mexico and fight Zab! Ha Ha Ha!
If they were that known you would of already said them. It will take reseach to actually find one.Originally Posted by CutMeMicK
Holy shat...I started this thread out as a jovial issue & it's come to this...you people are waaaaaaaaay to serious.
Won't matter anyways...I think that we can all agree that Margarito would get his ass whooped by Floyd anyways...so this is all of no consequence.
Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!
If Hatton doesn't rematch Collazo, he deserves a fight with exposure, and against someone to put him in line for a title shot. Let him have a crack at Tony or Julio, or even Williams. He might not win, but he's a game fighter that beat a very good fighter to win the belt, then lost a narrow decision that could have went the other way. Just like Tony should get a crack at Floyd, or the Gatti-Baldomir winner, If collazo doesn't get a rematch with Hatton, he should get a shot at Tony before Williams. Just my opinion.
