Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!
Joe is at his best when blokes go straight at him which is just the way GJ fights.
It will be a closer fight than his fight with Lacy but Joe will win by 3 or 4 points.
Balls
maybe he isnt really decided on the whole jumping up thing and wants to stay nearer his usual fighting weight, not sure....i would like to know the reasons though....Originally Posted by wacko3205
I think Johnson will be much stronger than Lacy at close quaters and Joe wont be able to do what he wants in close, but i think if he uses his head and boxes he will win a comfortable UD.Originally Posted by porkypara

joes speed will be the telling factor in this one. sharp combos and then moving to either side and firing off the same....
should be an exciting fight...
after all that waiting we've got ourselves a peach of a fight
I honestly think that Joe will dazzle him with his speed and throw so many punches from all angles that
he'll think he's surrounded.
He'll toy with him mercilessly imo and win by late stoppage.
Calzaghe has all the tools to do this![]()
You going Smash?? Im trying to get the lads to go, but they are not all die hards, and dont no who Johnson is, but with the Williams-Skelton fight aswell and Kahn its got to be worth the effort of getting down to Cardiff.Originally Posted by miles
They have been searching for guys at 168 theres no way at this short notice the fight will now be at 175, FW doesn't take chances like that, plus Johnson has no beltOriginally Posted by miles

your points make complete sense though...if calzaghe has been training for a 168 fight then it might not be so easy to make adjustments late on for a 175 fight....
i would prefer 175 but if calzaghe doesnt feel ready for that, then a catch weight would be the only other option....
As much as I like poking fun at you I must be serious for a second, you're exactly right.Originally Posted by Smashup
He'll feel surrounded by that output of Joe's, GJ's iron chin and come forward style makes this a dangerous fight though. JC will have to be on his toes just as much if not moreso than he was against Lacy (as we've seen what underestimating GJ can do)
I feel a late stoppage coming on as well, as long as he shows up with the same gas tank he did with Lacy.
good, sounds a lot better than all the prospects they were thinking about Joe fighting
Joe will win a UD, I don't see him stopping him, and I think it will be closer than the Lacy fight, not really saying much though. Joe will probably win at least 8 rounds with his workrate and speed.
