When Holyfield announced his intention to become heavyweight champion again I think he probably had Valuev in mind.

I had never heard of Owen Beck before this fight was announced and had never heard of Valuev until he upset John Ruiz.
I know Valuev gets trash talked an awful lot but to be honest I've never once seen the guy fight and I expect only a few of you on here will have either.
He probably is crap, but I'm looking forward to the fight just to see for myself.
Personally I'm hoping he is pretty good.
I'd love it if he fought pasty boy Wlad and beat him at his own game, using his height and reach, flicking out his 8 foot long arms into Wlads face, and clinching the life out of him when Wlad gets inside.
Wlad should beat Nikolai. He seems a genuinely likable guy. I'd like to see him unify the division. But I don't see him beating a half decent boxer like Wladimir.

wlad is much better than half decent to say the least...
He's not exactly a great boxer though. He's the best around at the moment but the competition is particularly weak.
great boxer? maybe not. competition weak? yes. but wlad has become a very skilled fighter. tall , fast , power, accurate... (i still think Vit. was/is better)Originally Posted by squealpiggy
Yup, I totally agree that Wlad is the current best in the division, BUT, Valuev won't fight him unless the money is as big as himself, because he's making enough fighting some of the weaker contenders in what is a blatantly a very weak division at the moment. The problem is, why would any of the other titlists fight Klitschko unless the money is career-making or their coaches are so misguided to build them up too much?Originally Posted by 1st rd ko
They must know they'd be walking into a losing fight, and losing their version of the heavyweight title.
And that's my tuppence-worth
Wlad-Valuev would shut down all of Germany!!!
Oh the money is there it's if Don King will be willing to let his giant get hammered into the canvas and be shown as a fraud to the world!!!
that would be the shi@!!! as soon as that fight is on im buying tickets(both fight and flight)!!!Originally Posted by Lyle
Wlad called Valuev out in his last interview...he wants another title, Valuev wants another title...hell I'd love to see it
That would be a big fight. But a very one sided fight as well.
Yes.....welcome to the dark side....hahahaha, ccOriginally Posted by Starr
It won't happen, I'd bet everything I have that Valuev won't fight Wlad K, there just isn't th motivation there for him. He can fight the lower end of contenders, until the mandatory comes up, and then he'll be tested properly, as long as they don't give him Ruiz again.
While I don't see it myself, I'd love to see it happen.
holy f man! you want to see ruiz AGAINOriginally Posted by superheavyrhun
