Lineage wise: there are four candidates:

Marvin Hart holds a victory over Jack Johnson, so he escapes the wooden spoon

Leon Spinks beat an aged Muhammad Ali, and in the early 80s at least showed glimpses, that he might of been a decent fighter, if he could of been bothered.

Primo Carnera is a big candidate, but it is very hard to judge what was and was not on the level. His victory over Sharkey saves him because....

Shannon Briggs has to be the worse IMO. Damn lucky to beat a 47 year old Foreman, beaten in five by Lennox in his first defence, he had a ton of potential pre Wilson, and still 10+ years later we are still staying he may have potential.

Alphabet crap wise: Johnny Nelson (twice), Adilson Rodrigues, Jimmy Thunder, Iran Barkley, Lawrence Carter, Joe Hipp and Audley all scream out as contenders, but to my mind a man who loses his title to Harrison in four rounds must be the worse... so I give you the Dutch Sonny Liston; Richel Hersisia!

Has-Been-Rahman - he is not really a champion as he was presented the title from Vitaly, who would have have killed him by one hand if they ever fought.

    As a 160-175lber

At Heavyweight he lost to some pro wrestler!!!!

And Duran fight was not a very close split decision IMO, Roberto won easy enough with the knockdown

I would say he did well to comeback from that and the Benn loss, to totally petrify then annihilate Van Horn, and somehow outpoint Tommy Hearns, which I still cannot figure out how he did...

But as a Heavyweight the blade was blunt and he sucked bad.

I would say Ruiz. But Valuev is even worse than he is.

Real heavyweight champions- Michael Moorer(I think almost any other "real" heavyweight champion could have beat him.

With the alphabelt titles, you can pretty much name anyone who was never undisputed.

The big four (Tyson, Bowe, Holyfield, Lewis) I rank as such
    Bowe
    Lewis
    Holyfield
    Tyson
He never beat Lennox Lewis... and he sure as hell lost that first fight, and at one point was out on his feat... Bowe was scared to fight Lennox, and Lennox is the only heavyweight I could have beating Tyson prime for prime because of their match-up... for me in this its
    Lennox Lewis
    Tyson prime
    Bowe
    Holyfield

But how their fights fanned out its
    Lennox Lewis
    Bowe
    Holyfield
    Tyson

Being a former light heavyweight and beating Max Baer and going the distance with Louis makes him at LEAST good.

Gene Tunney didn't do much with the title, won it from an old Dempsey, defended it twice and retired.

    Valuev is the new Carnera

Ruiz or Valuev if he loses to one of the bums he keeps fighting. However I do think he will eventually come into his own and kick somebodies arse whose arse deserves to be kicked!

I figure someone will eventually fight Ruiz or Valuev and just beat the absolute shit out of them. And when it happens I will be VERY happy, Don King and his fighters DESERVE THE WORST!

So did I personally......but in order to win that fight in the judges eyes he would of had to KO Lewis.
