Mayweather should grow a pair and have his 'tune-up' with Mosely. But I don't think that will happen any time soon. A shot Gatti, who even at his prime, could not compete with the skills of Mayweather, is nothing to write home about. For fuks sake, Gatti had to battle against a game but B class fighter in Mickey Ward. I think he lost a lot after the previous beatings. That being said, even a non-injured and primed Gatti would have been no match for Mayweather.
Is Mayweather becoming another RJJ? SEEMS TO BE TAKING THE PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE!

GROW A PAIR FLOYD; you're a rich man already. Give the boxing fans what they deserve and stop being such a penny-pinching twit.
That is, if he is brave enough.

You know what I see Floyd following DLH like a lost little puppy. He's going to have to run a gauntlet to get to him (through Mosley or Wright or Ouma) and if Floyd looks good in doing it Oscar will whip that huge carrot from under his nose faster than you can say retirement. De La Hoya will laugh his arse off all the while.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

I have heard quite a few people say the same thing, not the gauntlet part but the part about Oscar not fighting him. As funny as I would find that,it'd also too hard to believe,I mean, why? He would be lsing out on 1 MORE HUUUUUGE payday!

hatton needs to fight mayweather, so us hatton fans can laugh when flloyd gets knocked out with a hatton left hook to the body in the 11th round, if hatton wants 140, and flloyd wants 154, go 147!
unfortunetly i think greed and a lack of bollocks will stop this fight from ever happeneing

I'm no longer 100% sure that this fight is going to happen...it would appear that Floyd is on the rise & that there are too many other showdowns out there that Floyd can make some insane cash at.

I wonder if it would prove any points if Floyd went & stenciled his name across Collazo's forehead convincingly?

This thread is a little silly. Everyone knows that Hatton got Floyd's name out of his mouth even before he almost lost to Collazo. As Frozensolid said, the word before that fight from hatton's camp was that "hatton isn't ready for floyd yet," maybe in 3-4 fights. Then he almost lost to Collazo, said that 147 was definitely not his weight, started talking about moving down, refused the rematch he promised to Collazo, and used the excuse of "I have to fight mandatories (to keep this belt that no one cares about--right after giving up 3 belts in another division)" while lining up potential fights with no-name bums. And now we find out that Kostya's shoulder was seriously injured and required surgery when Hatton beat him. Personally, I don't have much interest in seeing this fight. Hatton is a B+ fighter at best, and this would not be a close fight.

Mayweather is Roy Jones the 2nd.It reminds me of the way Jones avoided Nigel Benn like the plage to take fights no body wanted to watch.

If Hatton is such an easy fight for FM why dose he not make a load of money for an easy nights work.

I challenge anyone to say they were excited about FM last 3 or 4 fights.2 unbeaten fighters in there prime seems to me a natural fight to happen. Unless someone is a bit chicken

PEOPLE!!!! HATTON DOESN'T WANT THIS FIGHT!!!! After he watched PBF destroy Gatti in person, front row and center, he wanted no part of this fight. His own team has been saying for almost a year now that they won't be ready for PBF until 2007. So why are people acting like PBF is ducking Ricky? Ricky's team doesn't want this fight yet.

Have you not kept up with the news or read any of this thread? Hatton stopped asking to fight Floyd even before he got exposed by Collazo. This fight is not in high demand, and Hatton has abandoned his gift WW strap to run as fast as he can away from Collazo, PBF and the rest of the WW division. There's no question that "someone is a bit chicken."

I think if the fight was on the table Hatton would take it.

You should put your money where your mouth is then, because PBF will be about a 5:1 favorite.

the fight was put on the table TWICE, and hatton rejected it (thats when hatton was looking to supposedly take on the best at 147)
then, after the collazo fight hatton decided to go back down to 140
