Right place at the right time is what boxing is all about El you are ignoring the facts...

    1. Zab was UNDISPUTED WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION when he lost
    2. Baldomir beat Judah by UNANIMOUS DECISION not a lucky punch
    3. Baldomir hasn't lost in 9 years
    4. Baldomir is the recognised LINEAL Champion

I don't believe PBF is even top 3 P4P but if he beats Baldomir I will concede the fact that he deserves the spot.
I don't just look at position and standing I look at styles. And by that, this is the easiest fight for Floyd right now. Baldomir may be all this and that but his style is tailor made for Floyd.
Then thats just lucky for Floyd
Makes people like Kenny who implied to Floyd that Hatton was better then him screaming at Floyd "Who beat Kostya Tszyu!!!! Who beat Kostya Tszyu!?!" And then saying "You'll never be undisputed champ at 147 no matter what you do! I expect mroe from the p4p number 1!" And Floyd just laughed at him, I bet Brian Kenny saw that and is thinkin 'aww S***!! well..it was fun acting brave..." And Floyd driving around his house with a speaker phone saying "Hey KENNY whats wrong man!?!? Why you aitn answering your cell?! You can't call Pretty Boy back? Aww c'mon Kenny don't be like that...' And Kenny is cowering inside the house saying "Mommy make him go away....'

The truth is Margarito has all the right weapons to destroy Mayweather and because of that he will never convince PBF to take a fight with him.

Mayweather fans enjoy your boys magician like abilities to duck real challenges! Oh, and for the record PBF could care less about the fans, obviously.
BOYCOTT THE FIGHT!!!! NO MORE CAKE WALKS!!!!

    wow, solid points
last time i checked, baldomir is the universally recognized welterweight champion of the world (and ring magazine #1 welterweight)
i guess thats the easy way out, right?
So PBF fans which is it--Arum is senile for thinking Margarito is the most feared boxer or a genius who has the majority of fans fooled?

I might add that I am glad that Baldomir has the big belt especially since HBO did not really want him to have it as was obvious in the way they tried to force a rematch with Judah.
However I would say that Baldomir would probably have made more money fighting Margarito especially since Floyed is so insistently transfixed on the Margarito offer (no! no! no! no other figure will do cause I am going to show all those Margarito fans that I can make $8million elsewhere!). I mean what is Baldomir's measley share going to be this time?

I guese Baldi felt Margarito was the bigger risk even though I am sure that Arum offered him more than goosen did.

I don't think that he's the most feared...but he is avoided. Very little reward for the risk.

Make no mistake about it, Margarito is gutty. He's a down in the trenches warrior...but let's also not forget that he aint one of the greatest boxers out there either...he can be beaten.

Arum's got a lot of issues to deal with other than Margarito being avoided though.

HBO didn't want to force Baldomir Judah II because they had Judah Mayweather on their doorsteps.

Who knows what the offer actually is & who get's what...but the fight has been made & Floyd is HBO's fighter & one of the most marketable of all the champs out there. He has a shot at becoming a belt holder in yet another weight class.

If everyone's gonna cry over Margarito & what's best for him & Arum should do this & that...maybe you should all see it from the perspective of one of the biggest networks out there & one of the brightest fighters of the last decade...if the shoe was on the other foot...you'd be taking the same route.

Let's not be hypocritical here ladies. Promoting is promoting.

Probably...or either he saw that he could make the most money & get the most exsposure against one of the biggest stars out there before he retires & maybe MAYBE has a shot at winning.

Again...I aint in the fighter's head or the promoter's shoes...but that's how I'd look at it.

    1. Everbody can be beat and it does not take even a good boxer to do it and everybody has issues so what is your point?

    2. Yeah, a Judah less a belt and a lot less credability but I also meant to say Showtime not HBO.

    3. Oh we will find out what the offers are and I for one will let you know why it affects Floyed's credability. Yeah marketed and overprotected by HBO. "He has a shot at becoming a belt holder in yet another weight class." Oh my gosh another IBF title!

4.Wow another HBO conformist. I bet your one of the Saddo poster pawns constantly celibrating HBO and its commentators, refs, and judges on what a great job they do?

5.Yeah, HBO is a mega promoter and ruthless like the rest and that is why they are a major problem for boxing. If the shoe was on the other foot I would be giving the fans the fights they really want to see and for your information HBO's overprotection has backfired against Floyed in particular.

    6. Wow! Floyed moves up, Baldomir retires and Margarito is left in the dark just as you like it. That is not good promoting and the fans are speaking out and deserve more for their money than a bunch of mismatches

Margarito will be fighting on Showtime very soon. His fight with Clottey will be fantastic, I commend Tony on taking a very tuff fight .If Tony gets past Clottey he will put himself legitimately in line a for a shot at Mayweather. But as it stands right now beside Kermit Cintron B- fighter , Margarito has been handed a steady dose of C level guys. and one C+ fighter who beat him, so its good he is stepping up and raising the bar.

Mayweather is definitely not my No1 p4p. I'd love to see Winky vs Calzaghe then we would find out the best p4p in the world.

So what are we to do? John Ruiz being being the #1 contender is at the Top of the Lists of unjust . Get on that one and i will gladly sign the complaint form ! someone explain that? Ruiz sucks ass ! The only time I ever enjoyed a Ruiz fight is when Tua had his ass stretched over the tarmac ! how in the hell he is #1 contender is beyond me.

If Tony was that big and bad why dosent he go back to 154lbs?? There is an abundance of opportunity Ouma, Quartey, Mosely, Wright, Karmazin, Spinks, Forrest, for him to shine lose....I dont understand why we got to here how Floyd takes the Path of leas resistence when Margaburrito will keep a Kung Fu grip on his alphabet title.....Step up Tony!!

That’s right... The Clottey fight should be a thrill.. If Tony beats Clottey I’ll lend an ear to the Margarito cause.
and being that a friend of mine on this forum is a huge Margarito fan I wish Tony all the best .
