Although i think taking up boxing or mma to look good is the wrong approach to the sport and its an easy trap to fall into, one which i fell into myself only to learn the physique ive gained doesnt feel as important to me as becoming a good fighter anymore.
Becoming a good fighter and survival is the thing i now want out of it most.
Amazing how things turned out and I only started it to get fit and have a better looking body.

I thought that medicine ball impact to the abs strengthened & tightened the ab muscles.
While at the same time prepared a boxer for body punches; like breathing out during impact.

Yeah i was under the impression punch drunk was due to head blows too.
For core strength and strong abs nothing beats the plank.....
And variations on that, like having a coach directing you from basic position to one leg up, alternate legs and arms, one arm all for about five minutes. Hurts like the pure raging fires of hell but my god will you have a strong ab section.

GY just wandered on here, slaming a medicine ball against the stomach can do 2 things damage muscle and whats underneath Liver , Kidneys, Splean repreduction organsif you bruise or damage them theyve got enough on repairing themselves and not doing what they are there for purifying and regenerating blood so the bruising in the body is slower to repair the system wont work as well. There are more damaged fighters about because of this practice than you think Im one the idea is not to get hit because of the damage it does, so it doesnt sound a good idea to do it on a purpose. Plus there are better ways to do it

to see a six-pack you must have low bodyfat, but most boxers under heavy do have low bf. keep checking out fitness mags, there are always more ab exercises, mix them up and do them slowly with weight.
Right i know this is really old topic i done but just little update i started doing my abs while ago im getting toned at side of my abs so its going well just trying to lose little bit of bodyfat to get it down to 10 percent so sixpack actually shows.
