Is Lewis wrong? I dont get whats so offensive about it, ok Holyfield hasnt been beaten by a featherweight so at worst Lewis is being a bit cheeky.

If any of us were speaking about getting out of boxing it the right time wouldn't we all use Holyfield as an example of what NOT to do?

Agreed. I dont see the issue with what Lewis has said. It would be madness and quite pointless if Calzaghe was to stick around until his mid 40's. Lewis made the reference to Holyfield in order to clarify his feeling about the direction of Calzaghe's career....

JUST TO CLARIFY,
YES, I AGREE lennox lewis dominated his division (BUT, it was aweak one, with over hyped fighters, and past their prime greats)

And for the 1000 time, in which i will not debate any longer because its just beating a dead horse with a different stick. Lennox lewis DID TKO vitali because of a cut, but IMO he was on the path to losing the belt that night. Everyone knew it, the judges knew it (scorecards) the commentators knew it (doesnt mean much lol) and the people that paid their money to watch that fight knew it. Lennox lewis promised a rematch with vitali "i beat him today, and ill beat em again." Then after consulting with whom i believe is best trainer today (steward) he realized, the only fight he could have, that anyone would wanna see, is a rematch with the man that COULD/WOULD beat him. And he wanted no part of it.

it was very close and vitali was landing some big shots especially in the 2nd rd thats why a rematch should have taken place but lewis new it was to risky!so he did the coward act and retired with his precious little belts!

fair enough just read heaps of posts that say tyson was having trouble with old larry holmes for 4 rds,but holy had a lot more trouble with an even older holmes and couldnt ko him.............................and with tyson holmes,the only reason people say tyson had trouble with him was because he didnt ko him in 1 round like expected..........but if u have seen the fight ,tyson chased him all over the ring,the only thing larry landed was a couple of jabs!!!!

none of them done much to be honest it was about equal until he got caught and at one point in 4th holmes dance for a bit and tyson looked confused and holmes pumped 4 jabs in his face a younger holmes could of kept that up for full distance i think holmes is better fighter but u may disagree
