Cool Click for both of you. I have been in combat sports and the purpose to suck weight was to have a better chance at winning. Weather it is to avoid somebody or to fight weaker opponents only Hatton could say. I am sure he won't mention it to the public. I think Hatton is a very good fighter and his style may give Mayweather problems. This being said I believe the public wants to see PBF vs ODLH more and this is a bigger risk for PBF.

It's obvious little Ricky Hatton cannot control his raging jealousy of Floyd Mayweather. Floyd is 6 months away from being on the biggest stage the sport has showcased in almost 5 years, and little Ricky can't stand it, so he is reduced to saying that Floyd's last few fights put him to sleep. He can't stand the fact that Mayweather is now set to have all the mainstream attention and fame that Hatton so miserably failed to gain in his so called 'American coming out party.' If Hatton had sacked up and even tried to make the fight instead of simply talking through the media and signing to fight bums, maybe it would be him this May who would be duking it out with the sports pound for pound best, but no. He instead chooses to live off of the long deceased glory of a fight that took place over a year ago. Ricky Hatton's badmouthing of Mayweather is pitiful and if Hatton fans can't man up and accept the truth, I feel sorry for you.

The point is, Hatton never talked trash about anyone, yet now comes out and calls Floyd 'Sheryl Crow'. And he only does this after Floyd says after Oscar, he's retiring. In other words, Hatton never dared open his mouth when the possibility of he and Floyd meeting at some point was still possible, but now, Floyd's retiring and all of the sudden little Ricky is Johnny Dangerous.

Bad-mouthing each other is what boxers do, however I dont like to see boxers disrespect their opponent (they should big themselves up for the press, as opposed to try and belittle the other man) as it undermines the sport.

For all his talent, PBF is a real c*ck-sucker - if you think Hatton goes overboard with his criticism of Floyd, it doubtless stems from the time Hatton tried to say hello and shake Mayweathers hand when they were both watching a bout. Mayweather refused and instead acting like "da gangsta mofo" he loves to think of himself as. Hatton later said he was surprised that Mayweather was actually a bona fide "dick" as his behaviour wasnt for the press/cameras.

How could anyone fail to bad mouth Floyd? He is widely regarded as the finest boxer of this era, he is supremely talented and a world class athelete. We have every reason to admire and respect him and yet look at how he behaves. How many pics have you seen of him dressed as a pimp holding a gun? Hes a clown. Boxing doesnt need that kind of image (neither do black people, incidentally). That kind of p*sh should be left in "da ghetto" where it belongs, Floyd - work on it, and you mind find you get less verbal abuse from people.
