I gotta say man, 2007 looks like it's gonna be great for boxing.

    The potential match-ups are awesome!!
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

From the looks of things, this will be an interesting fight for several reasons, some have been mentioned and others have not.
Let me touch on the things no one else has and compare if we can some differences or similarities.
Let's take DeMarcus Corley for example. Why Corley? Because he is a South Paw.
I can not think of any other SouthPaw Cotto has faced and the reason I bring that up is because Emanuel Steward said Cotto had trouble with SouthPaws in the past. (Where he got this from? Amateur fights maybe?) I don't know.
Cotto had a huge advantage in this fight due to his size. Cotto was 16 lbs heavier but Corley was the one who did not opt to gain weight as he stayed at 137 vs Cotto @ 153 lbs.
Cotto did everything right until he got rocked in the 3rd by a right hook to the chin and had Cotto doing the chicken dance

The question is can Cotto take any of Quintanas power punches to the chin? Oh that questionable chin. (Reminds me off Corrales )
Will Cotto be stronger at this new weight? Will Quintana wait for Cotto to make this same mistake?
All we can do is wait and see. I guess I lost track of what I was saying but I still think this should be a good fight and test for Cotto since he is not the bigger man in this fight.

Oh Now I remember what I was going to say. By comparison, Quintana has decent speed like Corley and moves all around the ring too. I do not know if Quintana has more power though. Corley has 17 ko's of 31 bouts and Quintana has 18 of 23. I guess by those records, Quintana may have more power but who has Quintana faught? I can only say Joel Julio and Edwin Cassiani. Corley has a much better resume. Cotto was the only fighter to ever stop Chop-Chop.

I am hoping we see a new Cotto in his debut at @147. I am sure he can pull off the win and maybe fight Collazo next

    Didn't Cassiani beat Collazo?
