The killer targets prostitutes. They were killed because they were prostitutes. Yes, they are women but that is incidental.

Would you rather the papers said "humans killed by killer"? That would upset somones, somewhere, "killer targets carbon-based lifeforms"

It was their prostituiton that defined them as targets. 5 of them does constitute a pattern really!

Nah I'd rather it wasn't the primary focus of all the news and that it was acknowledged that there were actually people, not JUST prostitutes. How much have we heard about their families, their lives etc. If these were 5 office workers we would know their favourite colour by now.

Chances are if he can't get his fix the regular way by killing women who are available to him i.e prostitues he is likely to then target any woman walking round town.

Actually I was struck with the thought that in the first instance the papers were full of these were whores stories, then it swiftly changed in the making them individuals. SK often work by dehumanising the victim. The person is no different than say a chair. You are there for my use. By the media changing that tack, I wondered if the coppers haven't had a word with them because they're so clueless. Don't forget the killer is likely to be paying close attention to the press. Wouldn't be the first time they've been used to try and communicate or manipulate with a nutter at large.

What info has come out is very little and very controlled.

I wouldn't have thought he will strike again in ipswich would you? The streets are crawling with coppers and everyone is so much more aware.
