and it should be noted that the biggest improvement of pac

Pac can counter jabs at any angle?! That's stretching it big time. Pac still has balance issues when he comes in punching and when he backs up. He sometimes lunges forward on one leg. He also is open to getting hit big time...just a by product of the style he fights. Morales was still able to back him up in the third fight...he just no longer had the power to cause damage. So people need to come back down to earth and stop claiming Pac has great defense. Right now he is winning more on his physical ability than any "great" boxing skills so many people claim he now possesses. Don't get me wrong, his physical strength is a major weapon that is a handful for anyone....but let's not kid are selves and think Pac is a technical boxer. All this is not to say that Pac can't and wont beat Barrera. But to say Marco will be an easy opponent is ridiculous.

all i can tell you is to watch the 'grandfinale' again
notice that everytime EM threw a jab he got hit.
if hes goes to his right then jabs, he gets hit by pac with a leaning left hand jab
and when he goes to his left... he gets hit bya right hook.
im not saying pac has great defense he ignores it especially when he decides to engage
but.. to say he has ridiculous defense then your nuts.
tell me how could someone survive KO artists like MAB, EM, JMM

nobody said pac is a technical boxer. but he has the option
to be one. with the physical gifts he has, no doubt his trainer

I am a huge Marco fan and I definitely think he will fight better in the rematch. However, this will be the biggest challenge he has ever faced. While i don't think Pac has improved as greatly as many people on this board claim...there is no question that he is a tremendous athlete. Strong, fast, and a full pressure style make Manny a formidable force. Barrera has a big edge in ring intelligence and technique, but he is not a young warrior who can brawl for 12 rounds. However, you never count out a master boxer who still has something left in the tank....and unlike Morales...Marco still has something left. He has paced himself in the latter part of his career (by not just being a brawler) and has never had to kill himself to make weight like Eric. Add to that, that he is as much a cerebral boxer as a physical one...and he also will be a formidable opponent for Manny. Will he have enough to upset Pac? Not sure. But if anyone thinks it will be like the third Pac/Eric fight...they are mistaken. It will be an exciting fight and i hope it happens.

Cool Click back at you yoitsdan. You can't compare MAB's jab to Eric's. Marco has a stronger and more effective jab. As for the Eric's inability to be effective with the jab in the third fight...Eric was never trying to establish a jab that night. Add to that, that he simply looked weak...none of his punches had any pop. You are right...you simply can't fight Pac with a jab...and Barrera wouldn't. You have to mix it up with Manny. Marco would have to fight a bit from the outside, some in the inside, clinch, brawl at times....use everything in his arsenal. One advantage he has over Manny is that he can change his style. If Pac gets frustrated, will he have a plan B? It will be a great challenge for both fighters.

Dude, I seriously don't think Barrera's best chance is to go for a KO, he's way too good to take risks like that. I've backed him for years and watched his progression. He's not really an outside fighter, even though his jab is terrific. He's a counter puncher, and Pacquiao's not an inside fighter, thats why Barrera's best chance is to get as close to him as possible, back Manny up, but be smart how he does it, and work on the inside. Pac-man's biggest punch is his long straight left, most effective when the guy is backing up, he's a long puncher, he's not a great hooker, unlike Barrera, his hooks are brilliant, so he needs to keep it where he is most effective, inside.
