IMO I don't think Razor Ruddock ever did in his entire career to consider him beating a top all time heavyweight like Evander.

I think Donavan was ne of the top fighters from his generation up there with Lewis , Tyson , Holy and Bowe .

His left hook would have casued Evander alot of problems but teh real deal always answers with a left hook so it shapes out like being an explosive fight . Evander would bounce in and out with his overhand right and the uppercut would be waiting for him . Overall Holyfield is the more fundamentally sound boxer and if it went late which I expect it to , his extra class and ringcraft would just edge it for him . He also has proven himself to have the more reliable whiskers of the two so afer a good tear up , Rudduck would be losing composure and Evander would be sticking to his gameplan to grind out a close UD

Holyfield would win a hard but widepoints decision.

Rudock was strong but, 1 dimentional always going for the KO with the big left hook.

In his prime EH would outwork, outpunch and outthink Ruddock.

what are u peeps talking about? the few of u that think evander would mop the floor with ruddick is just horse sh!t. Sh!t,holyfeild couldnt even ko foreman or holmes and they had a combined age of 85.

young razor ruddick would give holy all sorts of trouble, this would be very competitive.

and lyle,i agree with u holyfield was a down right dirty SOB,i cant beleive he never got pulled up for all the blatent fouls.

and who said he wasnt dirty? well look at tyson /holyfeild again. Tyson went through 45 pro fights and never been cut, and gets in with holy, and gets butted repeatedly, tyson was cut in both fights from intensional fouling. And all the clinching, thats how he tired out an unfit tyson, every time they got close, holy would tie him up,that is all so a foul

    Hate his style Lyle

what part of his style do you hate Evander staying in the pocket and keeping constant offense going? ?? not taking any S*** from Mickey Mouse formally called Mighty Mike coming in correct?? Being in great shape making the bigger man dig deep to try and compete?

Go back and watch Evander fight , Tyson , Foreman, Bowe, Cooper, Douglas, Tell me what’s not to like about his style ! hehehe? Infact you have to go back that far to see a good heavyweight match !

todays Heavyweights auh S*** ! cheers mate !
It may be that the Countries economy is resourse based.
Therefore there is a larger segment of the population working as loggers,Oil field workers, fishermen, farmers, ranchers etc. This provides a strong pool of tough blue collar types, and good support for boxing. I hate to admit it but the frenchie are tough ass bast@rds too.
I think Canada has a good representaion in boxing considering the smaller population (1/10 that of the usa)

Excellent post ! Truth be told ! Ruddocks skills were S*** !
alright how bout, prime ruddick vs prime tucker,or were tony t's skills sh!t as well
I would take a prime Tony Tucker over Ruddick !
i agrre wit u,that ruddick was shite,im just trying to start a good ol fashioned debate to kill the bordom....if we all agreed there would be no argument,i like to argue at times....BUT YEAH RUDDICK IS A BIG SLOW CUMSEY PEICE OF CANADIAN SHITE

Well he beat Greg Page who was a WBA champ, Dokes and 37 other guys (with 28 ko's) Had Tommy Morrison down. 2 good fights against Tyson.
He fought and held the Canadian Heavyweight Title and treated it with respect. Not passing over it or Dissin' It like lots of guys do. I respect him for that alone. He did KO my Buddy Ken Lakusta though...
The fight was for the Canadian Heavyweight Championship and was fought in SAKATOON,SASKATCHEWAN!! It was in may it was probably still -30 outside! lmao! Hey if he's Canadian S***?. then our S*** gave the "baddest man on the planet" all he could f#ckin' handle for 2 fights! Imagine what our "cream" could do Oh ya....that's Lennox! who beat Klitschko so bad he took more stiches than Frankenstiens Monster! lmao!
yeah ruddick was alright, but are u claiming lewis,i thought the english claim lewis as there own...now im confused so what nationality is he then?

Looking back my view is the job Lewis did on Ruddock was one of his best performances. that night Lewis wasnt far of his best, he was young and hungary.

Well, since Lennox Lewis defeated Riddick Bowe for the Gold medal in the Olympics for CANADA I'd have to say he's CANADIAN funny how he dissed the country and claimed to be a Brit or Yank or whatever to get ticket sales when he fought in other Countries. Even called himself Jamacian at one time.

Lewis was born in West Ham, London in 1965 to Jamaican born parents, and moved to Kitchener, Ontario, Canada in 1977 at the age of 12, where he attended Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute for High School, and excelled in the sports of football and basketball in high school; he eventually decided that his favourite sport was boxing. Future events proved he was quite skilled as well, as he became a dominant amateur boxer and won the world amateur junior title in 1982 representing Canada.

Two years later, Lewis represented Canada as a super-heavyweight in the 1984 Summer Olympics held in Los Angeles. He advanced to the quarterfinals, where he lost a controversial decision to American Tyrell Biggs and settled for a fifth-place finish.

Surprisingly, Lewis chose not to turn professional after the Olympics, and instead fought four more years as an amateur for Canada, hoping for a second chance to win a gold medal. After winning several more amateur titles over those years, he travelled to Seoul, South Korea for the 1988 Summer Olympics and achieved his goal. In the gold medal match, Lewis defeated future world champion Riddick Bowe by a second-round technical knockout.

Having achieved one goal, Lewis now declared himself a professional boxer and moved back to England, where boxing had a significantly higher profile.

What do you brits call a guy like that? a twat? a prat?
Guy uses all the Canadian tax dollars to train and develop and then runs off to pay income tax somewhere else. prick.
