But if the fight was a major success do you really think Hatton would have gone to 140 seriously? I feel the 147 has more exciment than the 140 devison a mega fight with Mayweather would be more attractive than a fight with Witter am i wrong ? I feel Hatton may not want to go back to 147 but he is sure doing the wrong thing staying at 140
You're very much enititled to your opinion about which division is the hottest. I personally don't think there is an awful lot between the two. Hatton's gone back to 140 to fight Castillo which is probably a lot easier to make then a fight with Mayweather. A fight with Mayweather looks off the cards to be honest so that only really leaves Cotto at welter (judah is done with, margarito will get beaten by cotto i think). So it makes more sense to me for him to completely clean up at light-welter which he is more then capable of doing, and then moving up to challenge Cotto. But until that fight can be made, it makes more sense to take bigger paydays and more exciting fights at light welter.
