Who REALLY won the Lennox-Vitali fight?

I watched it and Vitali WAS ahead on points.

His eye was bleeding, but that was no reason to stop the entire fight.

Vitali could of destroyed Lennox in THAT fight imho.

he was winning...but that cut was bad...no sense in winning and losing his eye...safety wins this won..and so did Lewis...I am not a Lewis fan by no means...in fact I am looking forward to Vitali once again winning the WBC title soon....

I saw the fight 4 or 5 times and all I have to say is lewis was saved by the ref. When the fight was stopped they were going toe to toe and we all know lewis has a suspect jaw so I truly feel lewis was going down, after all Vitali has never been put down.The cut was bad and Vitali knew it therefore he stepped up the action at the same time lewis stepped up the action to open the cut more so the fight could be stopped.Going toe to toe was in Vitali's favor. If the fight was not stopped Vitali with his very accurate punching W 35 (34 ko's) would have put lewis out for the third time of his career and lewis knew it thats why after the fight he ran behind the protective wall called retirement and God knows you could'nt melt that mofo and pour him on Vitali.So in my book lewis got a win over Vitali like Chris Byrd did.

SHOULD NOT have been stopped!
Had it been allowed to continue..Vitali would have either Bled to death
Or been permanently blinded in at least one eye and hideously deformed

Down twice in his entire career , Tuas , Tysons , Rudducks , Tuckers , Morrissons , Vitalis best shots bounced off him . Lewis was in the poorest shape in his life against Vitali . He was there for the taking but Vitali had no power to speak of. Mcall and Rahman took advantage of an over confidenet Lewis . Vitali couldnt cuz he cant hit hard enough .

The two KO losses are what people have to focus on with Lewis because in truth throughout his career that is the only flaws in his resume...Truth is...and I have said this before....Lennox was the best HW champ since Larry Holmes....PERIOD!!!....and forget the Larry that came back and was destroyed by Tyson I am talking prime Holmes...and that is good company to be in

Tyson was destructive yes...Holyfield had heart...Lennox was an all around good fighter who defended his belt like a champion should....People can dispute it but as Game said look at his list of opponents that Lennox dispatched of....Also Lennox avenged both losses with style

You don't have to like him as a personality but his record speaks for itself...Lennox fought the best out there...Better comp than Tyson or Evander as champion

Lennox Lewis won, Vitali gave an extremely good account of himself and deserved a rematch because the fight ended because of an accidental cut. Yes Lewis cut Vitali on purpose....BELOW THE EYE but the cut on the eyelid stopped the fight.

Either way it was a hell of a fight and the fans and the sport benefitted

I just wish lewis would have had the dignity to give a rematch just like the ones who knocked him TFO but he was not confidenet enough to give Vitali his rematch.
