yes i know tyson is in another one of my threads but people love to talk about tyson match ups so lets have it folks who wins holmes vs fraizer and holmes vs tyson

No i don't think Tyson ko's everybody but i do think a prime Tyson would still ko a prime Holmes and regards to bonecrusher smith he was their just surviving for 12 rounds he did'nt realy open up and tucker was a good fighter he was unbeaten when they met and years later went distance with lennox so he could'nt be that bad

tony tucker went distance because he used movement and gave tyson some trouble correct ?? right holmes was far better at movement and speed than tucker in his prime and holmes chin was excellent aswell so why cant holmes go distance ??

Just because Tucker went the distance i would'nt say he was giving Tyson trouble the scores reflect that.The reason i think he ko's Holmes is because he were'nt his best but he were'nt that far past it 3 knockdowns and the 3rd out cold and after the Tyson fight he did'nt do bad against champs some thought he beat Mcall i just think he would still catch up with Larry and it is'nt because im pro Tyson

there was only 2 ways to fight tyson in his prime,run or fight and holmes would run flicking the jab and a jabs not enough to bother tyson and if tyson and frazier fought well they had simimler styles but tyson was more classyer than frazier,and i think holmes and frazier would be like the ali frazier fights with probaly holmes getting the points decision or possably frazier catching him with a left hook but you could go on forever with who could beat who but great debates these are.

It was clearly stated that Tyson was told to hold back on Quick Tills as he Tyson was nearing a championship fight and the question was could Iron mike go the distance so he just toyed with Tills and you can clearly see Tyson not realy being a animal....that fight was all about going the distance and he answerd the critics on that front then you get the sceptics saying ...aw he aint that good he didnt put him away...Tyson was perfectly harnessed as a youth step by step fight by fight you could see allsorts of apponents of hights size and weight....Mike was knocking them all out too quick the management thought wow what if this guy does have to go the distance and we aint got the answer to that yet but with that Tillis fight they got there answer and to me they purposefully set out to get that answer..Mike hardly went to the body his or one of his most deadly assets.IMO.

I think Fraizer would be the tougher fight as the longer the fight goes the better he gets where as Tyson goes the other way.


Holmes jab wins the day in both fights,even if he has to get off the mat to to do it.

Not completly sure,but I think Holmes took the fight on short notice/he was out of shape,was lured into it by the money. I think Homes gets a SD over both.

I think Holmes loses both IMO.

vs Frazier, Larry would build up a points lead but Larry faded late in fights and Joe started SMOKIN in the middle rounds so I think either Larry would escape with an SD, lose by decision or get stopped. If Frazier gave ALI all he could handle 3 times then I think it's only fair that "Ali Light" (Larry Holmes) would have had even more trouble with him.


vs Tyson the fast start, combination punching and pure pressure Tyson would bring would yeild a similar result to the fight they actually fought only Larry may make it to the 6th-8th rounds.

I think the guys Holmes would have had success vs Holyfield had he caught him when Larry was in his Prime.
