Sorry bro. I love Zab more than anyone on here. Meldrick Taylor was just born fast. He's one of the few guys I can think of who clearly is a notch above Judah in the speed department.

Dude just make a youtube vid showing clips of them both. People could pick out fights and say Zab was faster in this fight then Meldrick was on this fight but you won't find many people that say Zab was faster because for all his speed and skill he isn't as consistant with it as Meldrick Taylor was.

But if you want to settle it, make a youtube vid.

I don't know how nor do I have the time. Unless I video camera my screen showing the time clock I have up along with both fights. I agree Meldrick was more consistent, but not in speed. Watching youtube is crap IMO. Watch the actual fights D/L them as torrents, and you will see who's faster. There is hardly anything on Meldrick Taylor on YOutube, and none of it consists of a whole fight. I think people are trying to remember what was 14 years ago to a guy now, and haven't actually watched both together, and if so like I said slow it down. But its clear in real time, and in slow mo that Judah is faster. Its like 130 Mayweather who threw just fast punches but didn't throw fast combinations. He definitely had faster hands than Leonard, Mosley, Taylor when he was at 130-135, but people look at combinations when they don't have fast enough reflexes themselves to see the difference in actual handspeed.

Watch Judah doing pads here. THough people always look faster in training (Oscar) he pretty much looks this fast in the ring http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3U6YmaCD9ao

ALso I want to say I like Meldrick way more than Judah. He was a real man who wasn't a complete prick like Judah is. I just don't feel he was the same level of athlete. He was close, but not quite.

Meldrick Taylor would wreck Zab....why is this even a topic

Taylor had very fast hands and was pretty good with his power....meanwhile Zab can run and he has a good left cross but that is where his skills end. Zab can't keep his head on straight for 10 rounds much less 12-15....Meldrick Taylor goofed up ONCE and it cost him his career....however Mel's flaw of thinking he's a true Philly fighter instead of being a good boxer as he truly was really hurt him.
