THIS IS A JOKE! Everyone knows who the best Rocky opponent was, Apollo Creed! Not only did he have the best entrance in the history of Rocky, he stuck around the longest. Clubber? A flash in the pan. Drago? He was the guy who an OLD Rocky beat. Tommy Gunn, don't make me laugh. Mason Dixon? Please....

Without Apollo Creed, there is no Rocky Balboa. Clearly the best opponent outside of Thunderlips of course. Then comes Clubber, Drago, Dixon and then Tommy Gunn.

Got to agree with amat on this one. He may not have been as menacing in the classical since, but was more figurative in everything that Rocky had to overcome. His lack of consistant training, no real quality sparring partners, everything was against him. When he fought the other guys he had everything that he needed.

I think Clubber would have gotten inside Ivan's head, he would have had him beat before they even stepped inside the ring. I could imagine him given Brigitte Nielsen a few 'hey woman' calls at the weigh in which would have made Drago fight a little bit more wildly, expending more energy. Clubber of course would have learnt from the Rocky defeat and did some more stamina work so he'd be able to go the full 15. Drago, as we know, tires down the stretch. Drago may average 1850psi, but you'd have to say that Clubber would be over the 1000... He hits like a motherfucker - he's the only man in history to KO Balboa for christsakes. He hits like a mule kicks.

y does every1 say clubber wuz the best? the end fight in rocky 3 was prob the worst--not that it was bad---just only when compared 2 the others. clubber was bad--but drago was the ultimate villian--the perfect, flawless, marchinr-like boxer.....he was the ultimate test 4 rocky...to test all his knowledge that he has learned. went all 15 brutal rounds-compoared 2 like only 4 rounds with clubber. clubber calls out apollo----the russian kills apollo-
