any "fighting system" that uses lethal weapons is the ultimate, but that's not to say that it's practical in a street fight. sure a ninja could take the average guy, but like you said munk, try doing it with a guy of equal strength coming at you. it's funny how karate always turns into what looks like very crude boxing.

so i guess the guys in the cia or mercs would dominate the ufc. because I guarantee they're no slouches in fights. but wait, they're trained to kill... so I guess that doesn't count.

for the record, i don't knock all arts. but come on, most of what we see is based on old world ideals that just doesn't cut it anymore...most of it is now just movie stuff. But boxing, k-boxing, mt, judo, bjj, all the real deals. give each of those practitioners a knife, a sword and some chinese stars and they're all as equally deadly as a ninja.

To be truly proficient at any fighting style you must be able to train in it at what we in the military call "combat speed". You must train like you fight. Whether its takedowns, submission, boxing or kicks you have to work on these techniques just like you would in a real fight. Obviously any technique that involves killing or severly maming cannot be trained on as it would be used in the real world. Therefore a practitioner of these techniques can't really know how it would work in a real world situation. Von spars so he knows what its like to be hit and how best to hit someone, Munky throws people so he knows how best to do this, I work submissions every day. If you've never actually gouged someone's eyes out, snapped a human neck or used the vaunted chinese pressure point killing technique then I wouldn't really trust your ability to use it in an actual fight much less a life or death situation
