Maddalone needs to get out, a championship is not in his cards and his sheer toughness will get him into alot of trouble later...I have never seen a heavyweight throughtout his career take a many clean hard shots as Vinny has and not been negatively affected later in life...Even when Vinny wins they are always wars and he absorbs a lot of punishment...He should stop now before he ends up like Jerry Quarry...

As for Holyfield he looked sharper than he has in the past ten years...His legs appear back, he was relaxed with very nice hand speed and combinations...gone was that pained look he seemed to have everytime he tried to put more than two punches together...Evander beats all reigning champs except for Vlad...

Agreed, However I think Evander has a very live shot at beating Wlad also . Wlad poses some problems , Wlad is a very good fighter with very strong jab and right hand , but if Evander can take what he have , and then get ! He could have Wlad looking up at the stars !

This statement makes me fwockin chuckle : Saturday night, four-time heavyweight champion Evander “Real Deal” Holyfield showed boxing fans that his quest to be the first five-time heavyweight champion could be valid, as he destroyed Vinny Maddalone from Queens, New York, in three rounds at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.

What's so funny you ask?

The fact that someone actually considers a win over Maddalone valid. :P

Wladimer was valid when he knocked out Danell Nicholson who is about the same level of Maddelone sadly
