Im published, doesnt stop me talking absolute bollocks from time to time. DaVinci code is a sucessfull book, doesnt stop people from laughing at it.

Come on Daxx, he is clearly overrated.

He did not win 12 Golden gloves titles in a glittering amateur career culminating in an Olympic gold al light-heavy.
He did not streak through the pro ranks, single handedly raising the sport to the common man in the street.
He did not change the stereotype of a fighter
He did not defeat the fearsome Sonny LIston (one of the scariest fighters to ever enter the ring)
He did not produce the 'perfect' performance against Cleveland Williams
He did not become involved in social politics instead of counting his millions
He did not give up his title rather than sacrificing his personal beliefs
He did not sell out while trying to survive without a licence for 3 years
He did not fight ranked contenders immediately, rather than a succession of no-hopers
He did not jump into the ring with the great Joe Frazier after only 3 warm up bouts, and display great courage at the first time of asking
He did not fight 10 rounds with a broken jaw against Ken Norton, only losing a split decision
He did not become the most recognisable face on the planet
He did not defeat the terrifying George Foreman in his prime
He did not open the door to today's multimillion dollar purses
He did not make 21 defences of the world heavyweight title
He did not thrill the world with his displays of skill and nerve against the most fearsome collection of talent in history
He did not sacrifice his health in the pursuit of greatness, showing scary ego and pride

He did not gain the love and devotion of millions of people for beng the best boxer on earth, ducking nobody

Who is overrating Duddy, all I ever hear is that he sucks..overrated by who? His fanbase? Some people just get jealous that people can draw a crowd, the guy has 19 fights and is taking it slowly. I guess he should have unified the division by 19 fights... He is fighting another no-name (Elvin Ayala?)then going to europe to try for a title in Ireland. Just because he has a huge fan base doesnt mean hes overrated.

Nicky Cook - Has beat some decent names and is rated on avg. top 4 of the Feather. yet no one reallt seems to bother with him.

Alex Arthur - Has beat some prominent opponents and is rated on avg. top 9 of the Super Feathers. I read his name here and there but not as much as I would think....

Paul Williams - I remember the day he beat Matthyse people were on here like he was the second coming of Christ... The kids talented and all but people right away started matching him up with the best around.
