Wha... Whe....... Bu...... Uummmm!!!
We have money we just use it all up in buying $4,000 dll. rims for our 1999 Honda Accords....
Well I will say this, do you think Hatton would also draw the same amount of people if he were to fight in Mexico?
I mean I'm sure like any other ethnicitys the BIG supporters will travel and make the trip but for the most part it wouldn't be the same compared to him fighting in Manchester....
Check who holds the record for a boxing match as far as attandence.
Not Ali, Not ODLH, Not SRR, Not Tyson, Not Lennox......
JCC when he fought Haugen at 'Estadio Azteca' in Mexico City 132,247.
Ali vs. Foreman was 60,000 about half of that....
Mexicans don't travel cause their not hardcore fans, IMO we are the best fans around. Some don't travel for financial reasons and legal status in the States but if the fight is here in the states you can rest assured were traveling....

What do you guys think, who has the best fans?
I think this statement is pretty far off. How do you think fighters like Barrera and Morales have managed to sell out arenas in Las Vegas for years (Barrera-Marquez being the exception)?
It's not because of Americans, it's because of thousands of Mexicans driving/flying up from Mexico City, Tijuana, and all points in between.
Listening to the crowd during the Hamed-Barrera fight, judging by the noise, there seemed to be just as many, and probably more Barrera fans than UK Hamed fans. Or maybe it just seemed that way since Barrera was the one doing all the punching.
Julio Cesar Chavez drew 130,000 for his fight against Haugen, and 65,000 for his fight with Whitaker.
I would argue that Mexicans are the most loyal and dedicated fans that the sport of boxing has. And I'm not Mexican, so I'm not saying this because of any personal preference.
Well said SweetPea.....
