5 is the one where they had matching tattoos. In 6 they explain the whole thing. That tatto is called "seed" or something like that (triangular shape) and its given to a child of a certain family that belongs to a celtic tribe and tradition stated that that child would kill off all of his family that came after him so that the tribe as a whole would get good luck and some off the wall stuff like that. So basically the whole series is tied into sam hain and some crazy ancient celtic traditions. Most stations almost never show 6 in a marathon and its the only one that makes sense of the whole damn series.

The guy in the black coat was actually Michael Myer's doctor from the first & fifth movie. He was the one that let Michael out in Halloween #1 & he was supposedly the man that got Meyer's killing spree started. Dr. Wynn.
