Boxing fans are interested in this fight. It wouldnt be a mega-fight...but it would definitely put up decent PPV numbers and increase both fighters profiles.

Two great men , two great fighters , a boxing chessmatch it my turn out but watching two master at there trade is fine by me

Two real fighters ARE YOU LISTENING JOE CALZAGHE

I agree it is a great fight for boxing purist an I will be excited to see it....Two master boxers in the ring...

I wasn't trying to make the fight seem like it sucked so if it sounded that way to anyone out there it is not what I meant..

It just seems that Pure boxing and the truest and best of forms does not seem to sell anymore

Truth is people seem to rather have a great fighter go against an overmatched opponent and blow him out now a days...not to sound like a Parrot but...

Why does that last sentence have the words Calzaghe all ove it again

it will be hard as hell. because average boxing fans who's appreciation is usually focused on the aggression of fighters, those that lived and died on the mike tyson style era and those who very much love manny pacquiao right now isn't very flexible as a hardcore boxing fans can be. They are not used to a more technical fights and are always looking for knockdowns as a basis of a good fight. But then with the resume of those two prolific boxers a decent sum of money can be generated i sure hope so.

Although i think this fight will be a chess match i will still wtach it as there will be 2 world class fighters in ring nd that dont happen often nowadays. Nd i dont agree that winky has one of the top three best defences of all time dues to the fact he aint like witaker nd other great defencive fighter b4 him as i think its cos hes got massive forearms nd gloves the size of ballons which still stops him from getting hit but not as much talent as far as im concerned

With all that being said let's be real for a moment....Neither is known for thrilling fights...Are they good YES...exciting..NO

Now they face off in July......Trying to selld this fight is like trying to convince a class of High School grads to attend Bingo at the senior home and blow off prom to do it....

The story of this fight is can a 42 year old Hopkins fight the high level of boxing that Wright will give him. This would have been tough for a 38 year old Hopkins. I know he beat Tarver, but Tarver was a little distracted by his role in the forgettable Rocky finale. If Hopkins wins this fight I will be extremely impressed.. That would be a great accomplishment. If Delahoya wins next Sat. it means more that Floyd was too small and not as good as we thought. Yet, I think Floyd is the real deal. Although the size difference on the 7 day weigh in was still alot. 158 for Oscar to 150 for FLoyd. So fight time Floyd will be about 148 or 147, and Oscar will be 154. Oscar has the size advantage and a real one it looks like. More than I would have thought. Do you guys think he can blitz Floyd in round one and make him fight like Hagler did Hearns? Or was Hearns more of a fighter with a warrior mindset?? I know Hearns had the power to knock out Hagler so maybe that is why Hearns went to war.. I wish this were next Sat. so the fight would be tonight. I am pumped for this fight..

It may not be exciting as in the actual fight(although it COULD be),selling the fight won't be hard. They are both P4P,both are legends, masters at their craft. I initially was turned off by it but I'll still watch it. Could turn out to be better than most expect and the winner will have a strong say on P4P top slot.
