Freitas is a broken man. What a shame. As good as he was, to turn into a quitter. What a wuss.

What amazed me about Diaz is that he is only 23 years old. He fights paced and smart with controlled aggression. He seems very mature for a young champ. He is going to be a big name in boxing.

In my opinion Freitas has been a borderline great fighter and if not for a tough loss to Corrales where he appeared to have quit he would probably still be considered one of the best in the sport. Diaz is a tough young fighter who is capable of smothering almost anybody with an overwhelming workrate and limitless stamina. He seems to be getting better everytime out although the knockouts aren't coming as frequently. I like Diaz in a competitive and what I assume to be a very entertaining fight.

    What do you guys think?

Yep. Either Diaz was punchingh heavier or Popo's chin was less able to handle things. Either way, Diaz put on a great show and I enjoyed it immensly while near ring side.

No argument with that. He did a "no mas" against Chico and quit on his stool here. That is not exactly called going out on your shield.
