He took the fight with Baldomir because Baldomir was the legit champion of the division. He may have still had the fight with ODLH but he would not have been the legit champion at WW, nor had his WBC strap that he likes so much. As far as PBF cherry picking his opponents, there are to many top level fighters that cherry pick their opponents. Have you seen some of the heavyweight championship fights lately? You are just hating on PBF, Toney doesnt deserve the shot yet, IF he beats Williams then IF he beats the Cotto, then he will deserve it. Until then stop bringing up all of this old news crap. sc.Originally Posted by chuckyboy481

WTF margarito...ahahahahaha no way man, just cause he's russ amber's favorite guy he's still way too slow.. floyd would be in and out all night. i don't think margarito would hit double digits in ANY round. even if floyd was 65 infected with parkansins and margarito was in his prime.. infact if floyd didn't know him out in 8 i'd be utterly disappointed
know....knock*
what has margarito done to make him more worthy that baldomir at that point
lol that video is funny as hell.
if tony beats williams then i conceed he has the chance to fight floyd, however if he loses then williams has the chance but both in my opinion are losing oposition to floyd. the guys just beat a great opponent in DLH at 154 and some people actually think these guys will beat him at 147? sorry especially tony he only has once chance of beating floyd and thats if floyd takes him lightly and doesn't come in prepared but that never happens so he has no chance.
as for cotto he needs to fight another few before stepping in with the pretty boy if he beats judah convincingly he has proven he could get a foot in the ring with PBF, if however zab beats him cotto ain't going to be fighting PBF soon. and i don't think judah would get a rematch with floyd imo.
If Mayweather keeps fighting the Delahoya/Mosley/Wright/Tito caliber, no one will care if he does not fight Margarito. Margarito should start making some fights for himself and winning them instead of trying to pick on a smaller fighter who he thinks he can beat. There have been fighters in history who are not that great who try and challenge a fighter who is a hall of famer who they think they can beat because of style.
Just turn on HBO on July 14th, Margarito will fight Paul Williams (32-0 24 ko's). Williams is big for the ww division and packs one hell of a punch. If you want to see Margarito do what you just said in your last reply, there it is.
he could of done both, he could of taken that 8 mill whoop tony then that 20 mill from oscar afterwards...question is why didn't he just take that fight with tony which he calls would be easy workOriginally Posted by wacko3205
weird huh....
Well that is what he should do because Floyd will probably not fight him. Williams is good but I am not sure we know enough about him to really get pumped about the fight, but the fact he is tall and has a long reach and southpaw makes it interesting. Wouldn't Floyd vs. Williams be an interesting fight? About Williams, I think how good he is will be decided on July 14th.Originally Posted by chuckyboy481
That's all I'm saying Julius. He would have made just as much fighting marg as he did Baldomir. And for those of you who think Floyd wanted the belt as well and that's why he fought baldomir, well Marg has a belt too.
