Then Calzaghe was going to fight winner of Woods vs Johnson 3 they had a war Calzaghe don't want winner why is this i just don't think he wants to fight anybody who likes to have a proper tear up.He likes one paced fighters that make him look better and faster than he actually is would them silly pitter patter punches he throws keep a Woods,Johnson or Dawson off never. Bika kept coming for him thats why he looked below par thing is these 3 guys are better than Bika i think they would walk through him

I don't think he can beat B-Hop. His hands and chin couldn't take the wear and tear

Ragu just because he is ducking Kessler and ect it doesn't take away that Calzaghe has skills he would beat the brawler Johnson and the stand up Woods no doubt in my mind.

I would have serious wager on Woods to beat Calzaghe

Well you will lose serious money because no way Woods beat Calzaghe but this fight should of happened right after Woods beat Johnson remember they were promised that the winner would fight Calzaghe

You'll be shocked man, but I'd take that bet. I think Woods was doing it for the payday and British recognition. I have my doubts about Woods. All he does nowadays is fight guys he's already beaten. He should be seeking new challenges. I give Woods his props for persistance, but I don't believe he can hang with the big boys. It'd be like when he lost to Jones, Calzaghe is too damn fast for him.

Calzaghe is a very frustrating fighter for us fans over here in the U.S....he has the potential and instead of us sitting here naming guys we think he could beat, he should be out there beating them....

Personally...I think so...but he'd be fwocked if Kess moved up to 175lbs...which is where he belongs, IWO. That youngin's large!

Calzaghe would eat both Dawson & Woods alive. Dawson is too green & leaves himself way to open for a volume puncher like Joe & Woods is on the late end of his career. He had issues with Johnson...whom I think Joe would stomp.

Welcome to the forum. Have the Obligatory Wacko Welcome Wagon

That being said...I can kinda see where you are coming from, being a Yank & a huge fan of Calzaghe's, but you have to look back on his career & watch his bouts to see how good Joe actually is. Many say that he didn't clean out his division...but he sure as shit kept it in check & he did it quite relentlessly.

Joe has broken the title reign record & he has defended his belts at home like many & most U.S. fighters...I have no issues with Joe's career...but many seem to forget that Joe wasn't the only one making & breaking deals for super fights.

Many contenders & champs have priced themselves out of the equation...but it often falls on Joe's shoulders.

While I do have some issues of late with all the promises made & unfullfilled...I respect Joe & love to watch him work...I just hope that he'll work something out against Taylor, Kessler, Tarver, or Hopkins.
