Yeah Cotto is made for Judah to beat him and look spectacular, but how often has it been that someone was made for Judah and he performed average?Originally Posted by SalTheButcher

I'm sorry! I can't agree w/ this! I'm flippin' this one around (Judah's style is made for Cotto) and I'll tell you why. Judah is a speedy flashy boxer who is usually an agressor when his power is a factor. Now, what you guys fail to realize is that his power @ 147 is no where near the power he had at 140! Judah at times likes to come forward in fights and is truly not effective when he is going backwards.
Cotto is an attacker 12 rounds a fight, 3 minutes a round. He puts pressure on his opponents all day every day. ALL OF COTTO'S OPPONENTS FIGHT WALKING/MOVING BACKWARDS DUE TO HIS CONSTANT PRESSURE. The reason I say that Judah's style favors Cotto is that a boxer can only box for so long until he has to trade a couple punches. Judah can't box for 12 consecutive rounds. Not against someone as skillful as M.Cotto.
What stops speed? a simple Jab. What stops a man from coming at you wanting to destroy you?........some good legs cause your going to be running and moving to get away.
oh, About Cotto's speed. I wan't you guys to go and see most of Cotto's Post fight interviews and listen to his most of his opponents say the same thing. "WE UNDERESTIMATED HIS SPEED AND POWER" "HE IS ALOT FASTER THAN WHAT PEOPLE THINK HE IS" and "HE HIT ALOT HARDER THAN EXPECTED"
On June 9th, A star will be born. A boxer by the name of Miguel Cotto. He's hungry and he's been destroying everything boxing has put in front of him since day 1. And on June 9th, We all will see that Judah is not as great as people picture him to be and we will all see what I just finish saying "JUDAH'S STYLE FAVORS COTTO"
Enjoy the fight because you're not gonna want to miss the great performance that Cotto is going to display!![]()
Cotto's handspeed is very very under rated,he has very good handspeed and combinations,I hope he uses them in this fight. As for the syle issue, thats what makes this fight intriguing, because Judahs' style is made for Cotto too(ie the lac of heart shown, been down v lesser hitters). And lets' not forget,Kostya Tszy, great fighter as he was, wasn't exactly renowned for his speed.Ditto for Carlos Baldo.
trust me, Cotto's under rated handspeed and Combos will be seen and felt by Judah and all viewers in this fight. Let those who think that Cotto is slow keep making their assumptions. Let them put there money on Judah.Originally Posted by El Gamo
You and I know that his speed is under rated and on june 9th, All questions will be answered and everyone is going to know who MIGUEL COTTO is.
Cotto might be "made for Judah"....but Judah is made for Cotto too....weak chin, never been in with a devistating body puncher like Cotto.
And mark my words, Miguel will box him first and wear him down or find his timing and then it's all over for YOUR BOY
Ive been saying for months Judah wins this late stoppage or points Cotto aint all that he's had a few close shaves.
We'll just have to wait and see!!!

Yeah...the odds are nutty & I do favor Judah on this one...as much as I hate too.Originally Posted by p4pking

Its been said before but it's down to the mental strength for me and Cotto has stacks more!
I think it will be a good fight and Cotto might even have to go down on one knee early on but I'm going for a TKO for Cotto between rounds 7-9.

I also predict a stoppage between those rounds. Cotto always starts slow. That is why it's hard to predict a KO early for him. But Cotto will win this fight. The crowd is going to make this a good and exciting fight every time one lands, but I truly believe it will easily controled & dominated by Cotto.
It's going to be a good fight because They both need this win, But after Cotto wins with an ease, we're all going to say it wasn't a "great fight".
We don't want him, Sal. You can keep him.Originally Posted by SalTheButcher

Damn right!
I am serving it up!
Enjoy. It ain't my fault the shiet taste like leather.
OUCH!
That glass chin failed him again.
so......Cotto's style favors Judah?..............hhhhhmmmmmmm!exactly!!!
Just as I said! Judah's style favors Cotto!
You saying Zab has a glass chin would only take credit away from Cotto for taking 11 rounds to defeat him.
I'd hate to say it but you're starting to act like a calzaghe fan after the lacy win.
Don't make an ass of yourself because the fighter you picked won and he was the favorite to do so too. I thought Cotto would win this fight too but I'm not going around doing that because I'd want respect for Cotto had he lost as well. And they both gave a spectacular performance.
Lets give both fighters their respect and due before it turns into something.
Thanks
Nobody here is saying that Judah sucks. I know Judah has his skills and deserves credit. But the fact that he talked so much about giving Cotto a massacre and about Cotto being so slow made me want to see him get beat up! The only fighter that backs his word up when he talks smack is B.Hop!!
