I have Mechant on DVD (pre fight anylasis for Oscar-Tito) saying that Trinidad is a smove boxer who can move through the gears, or something like that....

I guess Merchant has his bad days

Miguel Cotto is getting too much praise for standing Zab's early onslaught and for wearing him down with body work... It was a brutal fight and a fast pace one but that was all it was, Miguel didn't move his head or used effective footwork or great variety of moves like his supporters claim, when he changed to southpaw pose it was just to impress the judges and nail Judah with consecutive straight left shots... What I think it was most effective was the fact that each time Zab would wait inside to counter with a left hand, Miguel would hit him first on the blind side with a left body shot combined with a right to the other side and one upstairs to finish up with in 1-2-3 relentless combos that had Zab winding out of air by the 5th and 6th. Winky Wright is not one dimensional cause he can adjust and slide into his opponent's defense with natural skill, that was proven against Shane, maybe not against Jermain but the guy is not ranked P 4 P nÂș3 in the world right behind Manny and Floyd for nothing... The harsh truth is that Miguel against Shane or Floyd would never be first to hit and so he would have to stand a whole lot of punches before he could deliver and if against Floyd he would last to lose helplessly, against Shane he wouldn't survive...
