Sorry I stand corrected , not my field of expertise I just watched his fights as preparation for this fight.(He got beaten by the first blow-a kick to the head in the one K1 fight).

Sadly boxers never change, Joe Louis and Randolph Turpin got often beat in Wrestling when their careers in boxing and primes had long gone and people like Botha and Mercer are going the same route.

I do enjoy watching Kimbos fights- good internet entertainment

I wonder why Mercer tried to hit him after tapping out ? The ref pushed him away and he fell over. This being only seconds into teh fight yet it appeared as if he'd already done 10 rounds the way he was so out of it .

I know Mercer is the same guy that gave Lewis and Holyfield good fights but that was years ago . This was in a different sport years later so it bears no resemblance . Kimbo was a little crude in his attack yet it was more than enough to get the job done vs this version of Ray

I see kimbo changed his whole fight game, I was hoping that he was going to try his(LOL)boxing skills like he did in the past.Mercer was never one of my favorite fighters but I hate to see him go out like that.It would be nice if Mercer could coax kimbo into a real boxing match.

Shows how little you know about what you just said, Kimbo lost from exhaustion, yea a loss is a loss but I mean Gannon outweighed Kimbo was taller and caught an absolute beatdown but was better conditioned since he is pro MMA guy.... Theres a big difference between catching a beatdown and getting KO'D or Gassing out.

if kimbo is going to fight a boxer, do it in a boxing ring. and while hes at it, go find a boxer who's not turning fifty in a few years.

if you want to do mma, start at teh bottom and work your way up against fighters who actually train for mma. he gains no credibility imo choking out ray mercer.

Fighters can improve and Kimbo has improved since the years ago when he fought Gannon Especially with Bas training him.

All people said about Kimbo was that he fought out of shape bouncers and that anyone with even the "least" knowing about boxing would take him out. And then he fought Chico(not corrales) and is young who does know about boxing and Kimbo was knocked down but got up to knock him out and you said that Mercer would ktfo kimbo off of that performance, and now he beats Mercer and people say "oh he was ancient" I mean when is he ever gonna get any credit?

MMA sucks...Kimbo wants to be the Bob Sapp of whatever organization that was and honestly Shannon Briggs KO'd Ray Mercer a while ago and he was shot before then....Wlad Klitschko demolished Ray Mercer years ago and Lewis, Holyfield, and an ANCIENT Larry Holmes beat him!

I think Kimbo is Swahili for BUM....he could NEVER be a good boxer and he's only going to do well in MMA because everyone at the top weights SUCK at it

It was a good thing for Kimbo he got that choke secured as Mercer was flipping him onto his back otherwise Mercer would have pounded him into the mat.I wish it didn't end on a choke out but that is the way these fights usually end.I really thought Mercer was going to win even at his old age and if it was a pure boxing match I have no doubt he would have.
