Being a fight writer, it's always hard to avoid looking at this fight as the guy that Mayweather beat against the guy Mayweahter didn't want to fight. They're both pretty awward and it'd a tough cvall as to th winner....so I hope Vernon edges it cause he's the more adventurous of the two.

    Round 12 of 12
Lol Bob Pappa asks how can Baldomir catch Forrest and Steward replys with he cant..lol. Big left hook by Forrest hes looking to trade when hes in good position...hes putting on a counter clinic here in the last round..10-9 Vernon coasts and looks in great shape. I have it 112 117 for Vernon. Lederman had it 109 118 ....2 judges score it 118 109. 116 111 from the Thai judge.

for the rbr. Hopefully Baldomir has made enough money now to call it a career and enjoy life and his family. Looks like Forrest is back in the mix for now.

Vernon is very classy in victory, giving Baldomir props on his chin. He says he wasn't effected by the surguries, and felt good only pressure was from Baldy. It was a good fight for being pretty one sided, it started off better than it finished.Baldy says that Vernon was more willing to trade than Floyd and he is leaning towards retiring now after this fight. Great fight by Baldy he came to win,if he just could catch him.

Yeah I call em as I see em, dont take my score as official...On close rounds I go even more often then picking, because it seems like its preference at that point.

well done to Vernon Forrest, although there is no doubt that this title is very much maligned because of its historical involvement with Floyd Mayweather. However, there are people who will big up this fight and praise either fighter, so I'm glad to be among the first to offer the first judgement by Welsh judges.

CC to everyone who posted, I think Vernon looked impressive, alot of the shots he landed on Baldomir would have dropped a lesser chin easy. He is a all around fighter, good in every department.

Very decisively. Looking at jr middle Vernon definately can hang with any of em. Even Floyd, might be a harder match than most for Floyd.

Ultimately, that's what people at 147 will be looking for, whether fFloyd does come out of retirement or not.
