Saw the official scores on fightnews. One judge had a 10-8 round for Diaz in the 2nd!!! And only one judge had it 10-8 for Morales in the first.

Pretty odd scoring I thought. No way a judge should of given the last 7 to Diaz.

A judge gave the last 7 to Diaz That is awful. Truly terrible scoring.

It was Eriks work in the first half of the fight that built up a considerable lead on my scorecard and though Diaz was coming on...I still had Morales as the winner.

It seems a lot of judges are scoring rounds for fighters who are coming forwards but are really not being all that effective. That is shoddy scoring. DLH: Mayweather is another case in point. I had Mayweather winning that quite decisively and yet it was scored as being close.

Exactly, Diaz was obviously the aggressor, but I didn't think it was effective aggresiveness. I thought the 9th was one of Erik's best rounds, yet only one judge gave it to him. And how can one judge give a 10-9 to Morales in the first then give Diaz a 10-8 in the second??!!! I thought Diaz won the 2nd, but it was pretty damn close.

Ive just checked out the cards at fightnews. That is absolutely disgraceful.

This is perhaps one decision too far. Ive seen this all too often recently and it just isnt right.

Just when I thought the sport was on the upswing we get reminded of how bad it can be with judges like that. They should obviously never be allowed to judge a fight again. But the sad part is they will be judging fights again.

I've witnessed a slow Morales but the stamina didn't bother him that much. Heck, he showed to everybody that he still have the punching power when he scored a knockdown... you can see it in Diaz's face.

That fight reminded me of De leon-Penalosa fight. It was hometown cooking and 100% pure robbery! All 3 judges went for Diaz?.. what a crock!

If David Diaz is rated by WBC as no.3, difinitely that shows that Pac can punch like a lightweight.

He dropped Diaz, outlanded Diaz, and Damaged Diaz more. Just because he wasnt coming forward or gassed out in the last two rounds doesnt make Diaz the freakin winner.

#71. I had it 115-112 Morales but I was trying to be generous in the even rounds. I would have had it wider. I turned off my TV in disgust at what I felt was a bollocks call by the judges. I'm still pissed off now.

I watched the replay last night and like you 115-112 for Morales and I was scoring the close ones for Diaz. The judge that had it 114-113 for Diaz should be stripped of any license to judge a fight. How he scored it 10-8 in the 2nd for Diaz and 10-9 in the 1st for Morales is beyone me. Since when don't you get credit for a knockdown!!!

the thing that pisses me off is that he earned the right to extend his legacy tonight, he won the fight hands down, i had him winning the first 6 clearly, with a KD in the first, i swear and then people ask why boxing looses fans it's bad decisions like tonights why the possibly greatest sport isn't in the spotlight anymore

you are right to be mad. almost everybody thinks morales had won that fight. Morales can still fight and he is not a lost fighter as most people think.It just so happens that he fought with Pacquaio who seems to be in his best form and in his peak. To be honest, at this moment, PAcquaio seems to be unbeatable. Morales is a warrior and he did not dodge Pacquaio unlike Barrera.
